Need Help Regarding Trip to Kalam, Kundol Lake Trek in Start of July

salam brothers,

my name is azfar i am from lahore a software quailty assurance engineer by profession aged 25

like every other pak wheeler i am a trevel freak and love to see diff places in our heavenly country

this time me and my office mate are planning a trip to swat from 28th june to 3rd july can you please guide us we want to see areas beyond kalam and trek to kundol lake too i need special info about the distance of liddu from kalam road condition jeep fares and the difficulty of the trek etc please your kind response would be highly obliged

also i am planning to go on daewoo from lahore to swat mangora and then planning to rent jeep or a car to kalam still confused with the iternery is margazar and malam jaba nice stop overs for a day enroute to kalam

i need special guidance from you as i am making my iternery these days regarding kalam and areas beyond it.

Dear Azfar,
We have planned a 6 day plan for ourselves as under:
30 June- depart isb and reached Bahrain at 2 pm, overnight stay at Bahrain.
1st July- leave Bahrain at 8 am and reach kalam at 10, visit ushu valley, kalam bazar, forest etc.
.2nd July- mahidand lake, takes 2.5 hours from kalam, jeep cost is 5000 for whole day and public hiace costs around 350 per person.
3rd July- kandool lake, you can hire jeep till laddu and then 3 hours trekking.
4th July- leave kalam and reach moan dam which is around 2.5 hours from kalam. Overnight stay there.
5th July- leave miandam for isb. On way back will visit mangoes white palace etc.

i posted this thread after seeing your pics on fliker and going through your thread can you update whats the road condition from kalam to liddu ? what are jeep fares ? can we hire a guide from liddu to kandol lake ? can we come back from kalam - kundol lake - kalam one day ?? and whats the treking difficulty level ?

Merge 1st July and 2nd July Plan into one day. Can be easily done as Ushu is in way of Mahodand.

what i intend to plan is book daweoo from lahore til mangora with the itrenery

28 june dep on daweoo at night from lahore to mangora
29 june morning in mangora sight seeing and visit white palace margazar stay there
30 june leave for malam jabba half day excursion and leave for kalam
1 july leave for ushu and mahodand lake back to kalam
2 july leave for liddu and trekking to kundol lake and back to kalam
3 july back to lahore

please advice if some things needs to be missed or any additions etc any hotels thats are cheap and reasonable etc plus is guide avalible in liddu or not we are 2 office mates from netsol tech lahore

Its Miandam, when you come back from kalam toward mangora, after crossing Bahrain there is a place known as fatehpur from there its 10 km towards left on the top of mountains.

there is no bridge for keep to cross to reach laddu so the track becomes from utror to Kandol Lake.

Dear Bro! there is no jeep track till Laddu, track & bridge has been destroyed due flood !!!

jeeps will drop you in Utror Bazar or 1-2 Km further on track and then you have to track all the way to Kundol lake!

Due to flood track has been destroyed & dificult to track so you can't make it in one day ! you have to stay night at Kundol Lake !!!
