Sky was covered by dark clouds, a refreshing wind was blowing and local men and women were busy with their evening chores.

Coming back to Keran

Next morning, we had a good breakfast of paratha, chana and egg fries at Poshmal resorts. Today our only

task was to reach Dawarian which is only 13 km from Keran, The base camp for Ratti Gali lake and pass.

Lawat is another town which we passed on the way to Dawarian

In this pic, you can see the main Neelum road and bridge on Ratti gali stream. And the road to Ratti gali

ascending to the right in the valley along the stream.

Dawarian is a small town situated about 13Kms from Keran at an altitude of about 5300 feet. It is surrounded

by mountains covered with a forest of Conifer trees. An old tourist rest house can provide shelter to the

tourists interested in staying here before leaving for the lake. A couple of new guest houses are also built here.

We went to old government tourist rest house where son of the old care taker greeted us and opened a room for us.

Purpose of our stay at Dawarian was to go on this road next morning. But till then we were free to move

around and explore this beautiful and relatively less touristed town.

Stream from Ratti gali

Few hours back, these waters had started their journey to meet the Neelum river from Ratti gali. And tomorrow I will be there, once again, Inshallah.
