You would need nearly the entire dashboard wiring of that car, the wiring actually is spidered into the HVAC and light control too, the good news is that because its Nissan - its modular - meaning if you can find it complete, its basically plug n play.

I tried to find the wiring, card and DBW sensor accelerator but they are not available any where so I have made my self agree to stick with the manual configuration. Would like to ask a question. I have also changed the speedometer as the old one was ruined by a local electrician. All I found in shershah were auto model speedometers with RPMs. I have bought one and installed it. Every thing is working except RPM. There is only one wire coming in wiring, which is ground but could not find its live (current) wire. I have currently given it current straight from the RPM switch live wire but it doesn't work correctly. Please guide me how to set it up for proper function of RPM meter. Thanks & regards

I am waiting for your reply experts for adjusting RPM. Currently I have given live wire coming in meter wiring directly to sensor live wire (means I have made it direct to sensor) and sensor ground wire to body for earth. Please tell me if I am wrong and how to rectify it. If I disconnect the ground wire, RPM needle jerks and then settle down to 6000RPM. If I connect it again, there is no movement in RPM needle. IT gets stuck at 6000RPM. Please advise me the solution. Regards

Bro Diesel variant have some diffrent tachometer, so the Tachometer form petrol version wouldnt work. Regarding conncetivity of tachomer the CD 20s fuel pump gives signal to ECM( dont get shoked the CD 20 has a ECM which controls & automate many functions except the fuel injection). Then the ECM drives the Tachometer. as per my knowledge PW member @Ghuncha is the 1st & only person in Pakistan to have that set up on boared in his B14 later he upgraded his car to QG 18 & i bought the diesel intrumentation panel from him with technical details & installed it in my B14 which is still with one of my friend.

Bhatti Sahab, thanks for reply. The meter I have managed from shershah is also for diesel Nissan (having 6000RPM) RPM meter. I have checked it today and found that it is faulty. I gave it direct current at screws behind with proper ground and it didn't worked. Might have to get it changed from Plaza, if its available.
@ghuncha, can you please share with me the technical details, which were procured from you by Bhatti Sahab so that I can also end up with properly setting up the RPM meter. Please note that except RPM every thing is working (speedometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge and all light indicators)

O uncle, Kuch park likh laitay to yeh nobat na aati. Iski translation yeh hai kai pump kai sensor ki wires pehlay ek gip main jati hain, wahan sai dosray grip main jo unhain pump kai oper magnetic actuator main lai jati hain, wahan sai main wiring sai dashboard main aati hain. The problem is that there is only one wire coming in the speedo panel wiring, which is current wire. Could not find its ground in main wiring. Therefore I tried giving it (RPM meter) current directly from sensor but it didn't worked too.

Another thing that came in my mind is that may be the wiring has experienced "cheer chaar" from some "experienced" electrician earlier, which I have not traced as yet. Will check it tomorrow and let you ppl know. In the meanwhile if some one please give me a little elaboration of what uncle mustafeez has written (in bold above).

You have to check if you have the TCU Installed under the dashboard or not. Only then you can figure out what people are trying to tell you here. If you have a working TCU your radiator fan should be double speed and it should switch off once you cross speeds of 80km/hr. Also it controls AC system for high and low pressures.

As u mention that with ur juggar testing the RPM meter goes to 6K reading so it means meters coil etc is working & i think u just need to correctly do the connection with TCU/ECM, so once u have ur hands on to TCU/ECU/ECM then i can guide u further but u have to re coonect the Fuel pump sensor cables back to its original grip.

Acha, seriously now....

for your information, it will not be driven by the "current" wire meri jaan..... that wire should be carrying varying voltages... ab na koi picture hey, na gaadi hey samney, pata nai in what condition the wiring is.... so it is very difficult to tell from here, you have to trace it down through its diagram that's the safest bet as far as I can guess...

Request @spectra to give you its manual... He can do that.

Saqib Bhai, I know this. Once it was working and all the stuff was controlled by it but at the moment, it is blown and only A/C is being controlled by it. For rest of the things I am not sure but atleast fans are direct as they are not running on it..

Okay. Checked ECU again. It is blown at two points so I am not sure whether connecting the setup through it would work. Still please guide me through how to give connections via ECU. I have redo all connection to their original positions. Regards,

the rpm meter works off AC voltage - whose signal is actually worked by another unit like the glow plug control unit, The voltage Hz is far higher than a petrol engine because it reads about 5 times more teeth in the sensor than the petrol engine reads from 4 ignition events.
