In NY the tint law is 70% passing. I have 20 rear while 35 front and never caught here. If you are in a souped up car and with the same tints you might be stopped. Most of the time you will be caught on some other violation and if the cop is nasty he will give you summon fine for the tint as well. They will not touch your car or remove it. You can remove it and show it to local police station and fine will be waived. Or pay the fine and keep on tints.. Its $90 per window here and comes under improper equipment guidelines. Cop can give u ticket for one window but nasty cop will give you fine for each window u have improper tint. You can have zero passing at rear provided you have side view and rear view mirrors..

this is not a traffic police...islamabad traffic police has different uniform...this is a capital police
