Just popping in to say hello and to keep the topic alive as I dont want too many long gaps like there have been before much to the frustration of the audience (A)

Have had a long long day as had been roaming around from morning to evening after getting off from work (16 hours straight duty:( ). Had a few things up my sleeve :-#

Asad, as usual your updates are inspirational. the effort going into your resto are highly commendable and considering that the jobs are being done in PKi still think that hte finished product will be jaw dropping even on the samba forums.

so you never told me what that part was a few pages ago,... it's been driving me mad since then..

    Oki Id let you know the ID of the mystery part.......its a pre 60 brake fluid reservoir :) Im still missing the cover though.

   The contents of the 'box' are confidential (A) ..... things would be revealed as we go along the resto...... I want a surprise to be around each corner rather than a single dose of a collection of surprises ;)

My apologies to you. Cant reveal my secrets in one go! It'll take the fun out of the thread.

Id further worsen the suspense by reminding that I had been in the UK for about a year and had been to two major VW events collecting bits for the then-in-storage bug.

Dont worry, all to be revealed in due course of time.

Best part you are bringing this classic in its stock condition. I too have a 1966 vw in bahama blue, chk members ride in pakwheels. I have been collecting parts and still am, do let me know if i could be of some help.
