Hazeera is a nice looking place. From where does the track starts near Abbotabad?
hazeera track near qalendara abad
Salam. and thanks for the comments.Hazeera is a very 'reachable' place from Abbottabad. The nearest and easiest route is from Bandi Dhoondan, near Qalandarabad, as Irshad Miskeen has mentioned. There are other routes, and therefore, it brings in a sort of novelty, going in through a route, and coming back through another one. Around 30 km round trip would be a safe bet from Abbottabad, but keep around 3 + hours if you wish to stay around an hour for pics and food. Carry your food, or let us carry it for you, Nothing is available. Well..... almost nothing.Irfan
A splinter group (Hamkhyal group) of Off-Roaders Unlimited, Abbottabad went to Allayi, after Eid.This was on invitation of a friend, resident of Allayi, a valley near Battagram. We reached Tailoos, our destination in the after noon, and after a short recuperation (travel time from Abbottabad around 4 hours), we crossed a small stream, on foot, and went up a steep incline, walking through fields, and passing by small streams. Views were absolutely breathtaking.
Our journey back, a round trip of around 5 km, was in full moon, and we followed a relatively easier track to avoid the steep falls and big boulders. We crossed back the small river / stream at around midnight. My photograpphy completely failed and could not capture the magical views and the serenity of the surroundings
One beautiful view was spoiled by necessities of modern life, an Electricity Pole !Please appreciate the contrast
Overnight stay was absolutely wonderful, with beautiful sound of flowing water nearby (Guest House of our host was right on the Allayi River)We came back through another dirt track, with steep incline, but wonderful views of the Indus, passing near Thakot and Besham. We detoured again near Battagram, and instead of following the KKH (Karakoram Highway), we branched off towards Oggi, and found a beautiful Red Chinar.
Reached back at around 10:00 pm
More next time.....InshaAllah
Another nice looking Trip. River color is looking 2 good & tempting
Thanks and just for information, No Filters on the Camera Lens !
