So, we went out into that special night, at around 12. With a heavy task ahead. We could not leave the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Austin</st1:place></st1:City> behind. Something to do with EGO, or Comradiership, or just the plain Off-Roader spirit.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I believe, it was a dangerous rescue. But we needed to bring it down to Abbottabad. We just could not leave it stranded up….<o:p></o:p>
We started….<o:p></o:p>
The night was absolutely stunning…<o:p></o:p>
The cold got to some, especially the young ones……<o:p></o:p>
But the inside of the MOG was comfortable with a gas burner…<o:p></o:p>

The Return was dangerous. Narrow snow-covered lane, dangerous descent, and growing fog and snow-fall.
The poor visibility made the operation very difficult.
We came back to Abbottabad, victorious against weather and time odds, tired but happy.
So, all in all,
Was it a good experience?

OF COURSE….
Will we do it again?.... the answer comes tomorrow….

sir it was nice meeting you in abotabad where we have some chat and share our experiences over mog and mogging. it was short meeting i hope we could share more on the unimog...
sir unimog undoubtedly an all terain vehicle and i have not seen this much towing ability of any ride in this snow cross.... first you pulled out a CJ where i think mogs was the saviour and than Gypsy.... May Allah bless you....

Dear Friends,
On Tuesday, the next, we had a sudden feeling that on Saturday Night, we could not spend enough time in the snow, and came back to Abbottabad only after 12 hours on the night rescue mission !
Therefore we decided to go back up, again.
But this time, we did not go radical, and used our puny, little Rocky.....
Well, the Rocky ROCKED !...................

We did take some 'LUXURY ITEMS', with us........

Since our 'LUXURIOUS' Chairs could not feed us,..............
So, .........................
Just to be on the safe side............
We also took some edibles.
and Coffee...

Yup, the gas burner was, as you guessed rightly, the last minute thinking, by my nephew Walid Khattak, mainly for the two little ones who accompanied us.
MOG did not disappoint us, Sir.
I think bringing down the Austin was a formidable task.
Hope to get together sometime on a MODVENTURE !

Indicator lights for the MOG. Not an emergency, so could wait for the next couple months, unless I come to Lahore.
