Brother all the info on Google is not reliable, nor all the information on internet is to be believed in.
If you see carefully, I think the link is of some "cardekho" website, and not official Suzuki website. And under "People also ask"; first recommendation is 5w-30, but API SG+, SL, SJ seems not updated.
The current rating for API (American Petroleum Institute) is API SN / SN Plus, which is fully compatible with K10B, and it must be used instead of old ratings. The latest the rating of oil (like API SN instead of API SJ) is, the better it is! (provided it covers old ratings too)
1KR-FE, K10B, K10C, R06A, and other similar category small displacement engines are aimed towards fuel efficiency, and to attain this, thinnest possible oils must be used, but of course, the ones recommended by the OEM (if OEM recommends 0w-20 at max., you cannot go for even thin grade, like 0w-16, there are limits defined by the OEM).
If you will pour thick oils, engine will not be able to provide good fuel efficiency, rather it will keep on struggling with the viscosity of that thick engine oil.
Design of oil pumps and their working in engines is also very sensitive towards engine oils. You keep on using thick engine oils, a time may come when oil pump stops performing its intended function (i.e. lubrication of engine parts) and engine may start heating up.
I hope, it explains. Thank you.
