So all of a sudden I am having this problem. However the quantity is very small, I took it too the local mechanic and he said the "air intake of the gear shifter was clogged and he opened" it but the problem is still there however the quantity of the oil dripping has decreased further. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks for the help. Edit : Just noticed this torn up rubber

i had gear oil leak issue too in my cultus efi. had gearbox opened and all 3/4 seals changed. after that it never dropped a singly drop till i sold that car. its a laborious work and consumes 4 hours atleast.
You think it's a gearbox issue or gear shifter?
gearbox is never an issue itself - it lasts till the ultimate death of a car itself. i am talking about seals inside gear box. they are changed in 5 minutes. all time and labour is to take off the whole gear box out of the car.
I just noticed that torn up rubber boot in the 1st post pictures, could that be the reason?

There would be a seal inside. As there's a boot to cover that up which is broken.

Nope bhai gearbox is taken out in case of Cultus / Khyber to replace this seal....

Yup mera khayal ha k 3000/- labour ha iss kaam ki seal to sirf 60-70/-RS ki ho gi..... Aur oil k paisay alag se.

Mazdoori mechanic mechanic pe depend karti ha... Ho sakta ha koi mechanic aap ko ye kaam 1500/- me bhi krr de lekin mostly aaj kal mechanic's k rate bohat zyada ho gy hain.
