Oil for swift

Sorry i know there r many threads on this topic and it’s been discussed very much but i want to know what oil everyone is using in their swifts and which is the best , so please contribute .

car is jan 2019 model driven 25k been using SGO 10w40

Best suggestion: Total Quartz 9000 Future series 5w-30 only!

2nd choice: Shell 5w-30.

Last choice: Caltex / Havoline 10w-30.

Forever, 5w30 or 5w40
Because there is no actual logic behind increasing viscosity with mileage

Engine Oil Grade Selection

There's a theory, increase oil grade with mileage, like when recommended is 0w20, at 50k kms use 5w30 and 100k 10w40 I wasn't able to understand logic behind this, because I've never came across manfacturer recommendation like this, can anyone explain in detail? Thanks

Yeah, 5w30 will provide better lubrication and better protection, make sure you buy fully synthetic 5w30, will be slightly expensive as compared to semi synthetic 5w30

well, i am just saying what the book suggests : /
but after all, they are Pak Suzuki , so i am not sure what to expect from them!

For swift, 5w40 is mostly preferred by owners
You can go with 5w30 no issues will work well
You can't go wrong with either of these, you are on safe side

Ambient temperatures only matter at cold start, that's why I recommended 5w rather than 10w oil, and 5w30 flows better during cold starts and will also provide better protection
(Cold start means starts when engine is not at its optimal running temperature, which is 85-95 degree C and you see needle at Cold or Cold engine light in cluster, Many people think that cold start mean start under -30 -40 degree C temperatures)

I have Swift JDM 2006 since 2019,106000 used, using 5W-40W all seasons,Alhammadolillah giving such good mileage and also keeps engine healthy.

Total quartz, 5w30 fully synthetic is good oil, recommended

You may continue using it, unless / until you face any problems.

And trust me, whichever brand and grade you choose, if you ensure that oil and oil filters are 100% genuine and original, and you keep on changing them after regular intervals; engine will remain in Great health, and you won't be needing to switch to thick oils. IN SHA ALLAH.

Yes. For your conditions, all are better than 10w-40.
