Oil grade for Honda city 2011, 90000 on odo

Best Oil in 10w40 grade? I'm using zic but not satisfied with it. Previously I was using 10w30 honda but it was reducing about 300/400ml in 3500km and then switched to zic. Oil level remains same after 2000km.but i have experienced slow acceleration on this oil. Need guidance on this. Thanks in advance.

Bro there is nothing wrong with the engine oil, its the grade which is causing it. 10w-40 is a bit thick and viscous than 10w-30, so you will definitely feel sluggishness and slight drop in pick and power. IMHO, ZIC 10w-40 is best suited in its grade; its fully synthetic and meets the latest ILSAC and API criteria.

Stick to 10w40. You can try liqui moly super 10w40 or totachi 10w40.

Yes. My first suggestion would be to stick with 10w-30 engine oil grade only, but not necessarily Honda!
I would strongly recommend 10w-30, if it doesn't suit, use 10w-40 then.

There may also be something wrong with oil brand, other than weak engine; if there is smoke from the exhaust.

Only Honda genuine and OEM filters, otherwise, Leppon or Wix (if available).

Reason i shifted to zic was because i was not satisfied by oil performance, ride was very rough. My car is giving me 17km/l in city mostly driven from shaukat khanum to cantt on canal and around 18km/l on long route at 110km/hr on ac.

Zic x9 or Kixx 5w-40 fully synthetic is a really good oil, i purchased my car from a mechanical engineer and they have been using it from day 1, 75k on odo and still going strong. My car is a 2015 1.3 manual.

Bro, oil level should max. touch the max. mark. It should never be more than the max. mark for whatsoever reason.
