Oil viscosity recommended for new corolla 1.3 A/T

As-Salam-O-Alaikum!
I have a corolla 1.3 A/T and the car is driven almost 10,000km the toyota officials recommend taglon 5W 50 oil grade for my car is this viscosity preferred for a new engine as they recommend it upto 20000km for a new engine.
Kindly guide.

Yes 5w-50 talgon is fine enough.
You can use it you don't want to void warranty but 5w-40 is better.
Remember to change the oil filter only in between at 15k because even these Toyota filters last for 5k km due to dusty environment of pakistan. ️

I think you don't need ceratic in new car.
I have used it my vitz which is 200k km driven so ceratic have made it smooth & silent but no need in new cars.
Or pour it after 50k km

Taglon 5-50 is fine for your car. No need to add any additives.

It's recommended. It's better for your car according to Toyota and it keeps the warranty intact as well.
If you want to go to better oils, go towards Liqui Moly or AMsoil fully synthetic signature series. Low engine noise, better mileage, improved pick. But I won't recommend you to switch to these oils before 20k on the odo.

I myself will be using Taglon 5-50 in my 2017 Altis 1.8 CVTi. Currently it's at 4400kms on the odo. Waiting for it to clock 5000 and then I'll change factory oil

@haseeb.basharat is still using Taglon in his over 25k driven Altis Cruisetronic. So 5w50 would be alright.

If you want to shift to a superior oil, then Amsoil Signature series 5w30 would be perfect.
In case of Liqui Moly, use 5w30

Yes, my altis cvti is 31k driven at this moment and I am using taglon in it 5w50 fully synthetic with fuel average of 11-13 within city and 16-18 on highways.
I haven't faced any issue with it. Its by far the best oil I can suggest you in case of corolla, smooth start, great acceleration, great mileage and superior protection as it is being blended by Mobil Askari Limited.
It's a fully synthetic, cheaper, can change at 5k kms and mantains warranty, what more you want from an engine oil. I will shift to mobil1 5w50 InshaAllah at 50k kms if I find filter that can last 10-12k kms.

On my last trip from Okara to multan the average meter was showing 14.8 km/liter after resetting and remained 14.9 when reached keeping the speed of 80-100km/hr otherwise its meter shows 12-13 km/liter on motorway keeping the speed between 120-130km/hr

Haseeb bhai which brand you find the most reliable and promising in engine oils
Mobil 1, Liqui moly, Amsoil ,Meguin or some other oil brand.

Have used mobil 1 and liqui moly in past so go for them. Liqui moly 5w40 fully synthetic would be best but its costly and genuine oil filter cannot last more than 7000kms so why pour the oil which can last 15000kms and above when you have to change at every 7000kms? Or, you can change oil filter at every 7000kms and compensate the wasted oil in the process. You won't be able to find branded and genuine filter like k&n and mobil1 in Pakistan

5w40 is thick for all corollas, Recommended viscosity is 5w30 your car pick will ve improved and u will get good fuel economy because engine will not get alot of pressure to move.

u can use Totachi 5w30 its japanese oil and good quality its price is 3400/4ltr, liqui moly 5w30 special tec price 4100/4tr, Mobil 5w30 price 2980/4ltr, i find mobil 1 not good enough i used totachi and liqui moly till 8k drain interval and filter change in 4k toyota genuine filter

Getting 16-17 from 1.8 cvti on motorway and 17-18 on highways after using fully synthetic 5w50 for like 30k kms. Nopes bro, it was giving less fuel economy on 10w30

Don't mind brother but there is much difference in 10w-30 & 5w-30.
10w-30 is mineral whereas 5w-30 comes in both semi & fully synthetic. Whenever you get a chance just try the 5w-30 or even 0w-20, 5w-20 & 5w-40 you will get your answer.
We are using zic 5w-20 in our grande 40k driven which is closet to recommended oil for 2zr-fe i.e 0w-20 & still getting 16-18 on motorway with Ac.
