@hash4u: yes, its engine is removed
@muddy: that is a considerable option, but what about its availability? Reliability? Would you share your experience ??
@madracer: the first thing that came to my mind was the NA 1JZ-GE. But when i started researching on it, i found out that the JZs make your car nose heavy. But thats ok, coz i wont be doing no circuits on it. But the other prob with the JZs is that the original EPS wouldnt work, i'll have to switch to a locally engineered conventional power-steering, which almost 90% of the times screw up the handling, and is almost impossible to balance. What do you say? Am i correct so far?
@superman2jz: 4A-GE? Sounds interesting, has it ever been done? I hope it wouldn't be a frankenstein. Need more details on it.. Would it sit in smooth?
@jaggi: yup, the sun hasn't been very nice.
There are these two engines that ive been thinking about.
1. The 1G-FE, i came across a Bangladeshi forum. A Dude there had it running. Now the most interesting part was, the RPM, traction and ABS, and all other electronics were working fine. He was using 3Different ECUs. One for the engine, one for the steering, and one for the electronics. It was a manual version though. I hope it would work the same way for an auto car.
- The 4GR-FSE? The engine from a MarkX 250G. I do not have much info on this motor. But personally, i'd love to get this installed. If people can put in an LSx, and a fellow pakwheeler did a UZ swap, then why cant a v6 sit in? I tried searching the web for it. But found only one 4GRFSE swap done in Russia. The only thing i could understand from the video was, the car was cruising fine, and the RPM was working. Dont know about the other stuff.
Id like to know if anyone has anyideas about these engines? And would they sit in easy?
