Owners Review: New Suzuki Alto 660cc PKDM 2019

If a brand new engine is giving you 22KMPL, what else can one ask for. After all its a car and not a CD 70 but jokes aside as Hash said it should get better as breakin completes and you move towards first oil change.
By the way how is the engine vibration? I remember driving a brand new Wagon R of my cousin and vibration could be felt. Later i drove the car at 5000 plus kms and it was alot smoother than when i drove it the first time. What about Alto @hash737 can you also comment on your vibration considering you drive an auto variant.

Drove 249 km in Lahore cantt area in 14 litres with full AC. Car is driven 280km total. Alto VXR. I think not a bad average kyun k ahbi start hai(idle run testing included). 3rd gear onwards average bharhti hai.

Also agar kisi bhai na lahore say Alto ki accessories li hain tou kindly share from where cuz i am not able to find car window shades.

Hey thankyou for sharing the necessary info, I am curious why manual transmission oil should be changed at 5k? I know its written in the manual lakin pehla oil jaldi change aur baki late, whats the science

I think its euro 2 cuz ahbi tak tou suzuki ki line up euro 2 hi hain except CBU (imported)

Basically the logic behind is that the manual gears shred metal in tiny particle forms. That get mixed with oil. So its highly recommended to change it in first 5k km service.

No sir. No vibration. Steering does not get any sort of vibration nor does the engine vibrates the car on high revs only you hear a 6 month old bulldog puppy growl lol.

On idle the vibration is exactly the same as new cultus. Almost close to 0.

Ok thanks. I have no idea how a new cultus vibrates but i am set for tomorrow to test drive the new Alto. Lets see how it goes because i need to make a decision about buying it. So fingers crossed.

Suzuki is in for alot of trouble

I just checked the cars coolant. Its little less thn half mark from f to e. I have a new suzuki original 1ltr coolant lying in my garage. I bought it last year in new cultus days.

When i opened the bottle to my surprise its blue and the coolant in the reservoir bottle of alto is green.

Great job. Do they retract like the front one?

Its much needed. Every now and then i bring ironed clothes from the shop and i have no plans of hanging them in the front seats lol.

I think its fine as long as bottle was sealed. Colours doesnt matter

They dooo sir jee. The bottle was bought from dealership. Back then cultus had green too but suzuki selling blue coolant

As far as i remember Mixing two diff colour coolants is not good as their blend is different.

Please elaborate. Did you just say that coolant wasn't filled properly and upto the recommended level or you are just concerned about the color?

Yes coolant was not filled to full. I didnt take the car delivery otherwise i would have gotten it done and only then signed the papers. Last year when i got cultus same happened. The coolant was on the half mark and not full. I told them to full it up only then ill sign. They opened a new bottle filled it to F mark and also gifted me a new coolant bottle for the inconvenience and then i signed the papers.

Now the problem is suzuki is selling blue coolant and the new alto has green coolant. Completely confused

Talking about quality

I think suzuki did a really good job in terms of quality finishing when it comes to interior plaatics of this car.

Not sure if its because this car is 80% jap or what. But the plastics sit very well and blend in through how its supposed to be.

To me pillar plastics are most important because they are always ignored by PKDM manufacturers. Its most important because its a part 24/7 visible to occupants sitting inside.

I had to knock pillar plastic of new cultus every now and then because it never sat how its supposed to.

They could have used a fiddly metal lever for fuel lid opener like any other suzuki car but they used a plastic level which looks neater and not at all fiddly.

You said coolant level is low...
When I had test drive for 15min and temp was above 40...car was parked in open sun at showroom...after test drive when I opened bonnet to check engine it was like hot oven...as compared to vitz and corolla I guess it was very hot...and I had AC on at number 2 or 3 ....how is your experiences regarding this even when coolant was not completely filled

Read my posts again please i mentioned coolant level is little lower then HALF mark between full to empty.

I dont know what you mean by oven hot. Every car becomes super hot from the engine bay that too when its 40 degrees outside. If the coolant and cooling system is not working well the cars engine wont maintain 85 degrees nor you will get ac cooling.

So yeah. Its completely normal.

I bought alto side shade and back shade aswell as key silicon cover. 1000 rupees for all these 3.

Also saw a really good arm rest. It sits in the cupholder does not need any screws. But was expensive for me 3000 rupees.
