Well we can atleast agree that Mehran is actually Alto but 2nd or 3rd generation as i recall and it is up to Pak Suzuki who they are trying to replace. As far as Mehran is concerned, if Pak suzuki wanted, they could easily keep Mehran in line for production as it was their real cash cow, but they discontinued both alto generations and kept one as replacement for all, as far as events show. Now i am not talking about potential buyers, but what i see here on this forum is that there is consistent tension between comparing a 2014 660cc to a 800cc 89 Model. I think there shouldn't be as this new car replaces its older generations and not many people bought the alto that was discontinued in 2012. Mehran has always been the choice for entry level car and now this alto 8th generation being more powerful and better is still an "entry" level car, not a flagship like 1000cc or above. So there shouldn't be quotes "please dont compare to mehran" . we will compare, because a majority of this country owns Mehran and are the only ones who experience over heating (even in winters), vibrations/shaking/struggle above 60Km/h, turtle like performance on A.C , etc. Rest of the car owners know that this is not a thing anymore, its a relic of the past but people like me have never seen these things go away because we have been stuck with Mehran due to financial issues.
