That tripping of AC thing is a pretty normal deal that happens in almost all modern cars, especially with drive by wire systems. When a wide open throttle signal is received, the ECU disengages the AC clutch, though in some cars it is more noticeable than others.

MILEAGE UPDATE

I have used half the tank now, the car has done 280KM in half tank. That with 100% AC with only auto mode inside city.

I will second you on that the day i test drove alto ags i also test drove cultus ags and their suspension were very similar and a bit superior to wagon r and as for 39 hp i drove it on d and both the cars felt a bit laggy but on the manual mode pick is pretty decent considering a 660 cc definitely alot lot more than nissan dayz 660 that i kept so i am doubtful its 39 hp( pretty sure its a typo) .A.c i felt had a weaker blower through than wagonr and new cultus but the cooling was adequate.These were my initial impressions

It's the actual reality.... No hawaii or any other kind of firing. That's why you pay 'transfer' charges. Hopefully, the guy you bought it from was a 'filer'.

Still less than my city 325 in half tank kidding I m sure it has a small tank compare to city's 38L.
It will be interesting when you fill the tank again to get real avg. My idea is it will be around 17 to 19 kmpl.

Well, it's a free country. You can compare apples with oranges and i couldn't care less.
My opinion still stays and and I'll say it again : Mehran has no comparison with this car. I have my reasons and you're once again not invited to agree with them mate. Let's look at some of the features present in the latest generation Alto and then see how one can compare a 1980s built car with a 2019 one
* R06A is the latest engine by Suzuki
Comes with VVT ( both on intake and exhaust)
IT'S a DOHC engine

• Bigger and wider body built on a lightweight and bigger chasis( Suzuki green technology )
• Comes with AGS as well
  *ABS Brakes
• Beautifully built high quality modern day interior and instrument panel
• Comfortable seats
• Well lit meter having a digital section
• Power windows
• EPS
• Real immobilizer
• Retractable mirrors
• Aerodynamic body design which is safer and compact at the same time
• Dual SRS Airbags
• Lightweight compact Compressor
• Load and speed sensitive relays for engine safety
• Alto being the 2nd generation and mehran being the 8th generation(1989)
• Extremely fuel efficient( most fuel efficient car in Japan)
• Cabin Length is 2040 mm which is claimed to be the highest in its class
• Rear Torsion beam suspension
  *High tensile steel is used to achieve weight reduction
• Front doors have 2 step stopper
• Seatbelt reminder
  All this and you are talking about car over heating with AC? It's just like comparing an old man to a young one. There's no comparison at all.
  Yes Mehran was an entry level car with a cheap price tag i agree and now this is the entry level car in our market and people opting for mehran will now have to think about the new Alto. Having said that, it still doesn't make sense to compare the two since times have changed and so have the cars.

Also, Alto is 54Hp. It's not 39 HP at all. Paksuzuki made an error and they have done it in the past as well so, no big deal there.

well what do you expect ? Mehran is normally the only car driven by mehran users , there are exceptions when Mehran owners occasionally get to drive bigger cars. Now, obviously if you are on a budget, you would go for mehran trash otherwise why not Wagon R or Cultus ? Point is, a man compares something to what he already has or has at least tried and i drive mehran so i wanna know what to expect from this Alto when i invest 14 Lacs on this car and then use it for my everyday commute. Its as simple as that, i dont understand the hostility here with mehran and alto lol so what if i compare apple to orange ? am i saying that no, mehran is better ? all i am asking is the experience as compared to the piece of trash that i drive.

Why is the price 1250k ? shouldn't it be 1299k and what is the 7500 added at the bottom.

Suzuki doesn't get 1068k, there are other taxes too, also don't forget the dealership margin I am guessing would be 5-10%.

Comparison with Corolla Gli (urf waddi gaddi) in power to weight ratio: Alto has 54Hp engine ( I am assuming that PS specifications on brochure are plain wrong) with 650 KG kerb weight whereas corolla has 83Hp engine in 1275 KG body. Result: Alto is better when it comes to power to weight ratio.

Power to weight ratio for Alto is definitely better then GLi (83 bhp/ton for Alto vs 65 bhp/ton for GLi) but if you compare the torque (56 nm for Alto vs 121 nm for the GLi), you can see that the 2NZ-FE makes more then double the torque. Now combining all these factors i.e weight, torque and bhp, I would guess there day to day performance in a city setting would be very similar. Note: I have conveniently ignored gearing in my comparison. So it is very rudimentary

The fuel tank capacity of this car is 27 ltr with around 3-4 ltre in reserve

From f to e its around 24 ltr.

I am getting the fuel average of 22 kmpl in the brake in period. And why has PS recommended the engine oil 0f 10W-40 viscosity in the manual? Isnt it supposed to be 0W-20 or 5w-30?
