It is good to see this, but for following reasons I think we don’t need it;<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
1- We have aircrafts, who needs regular maintenance after certain time of flight,<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
2- We have airfields located such that they cover all of our airspace.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
3- We have not very wide airspace to cover, like others countries<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
4- Most of our interceptors have limited hard points to carry enough AOA missiles to just one sortie.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
5- We in the world ranked as second air force behind Israeli AF who have an aircraft every 2 mins in air from any of its airfield. And we can launch aircrafts in 6 mins from scramble.<o:p></o:p>

It is not a deterrent. It adds almost no additional functional capabilities. It can't refuel all available airborne platforms.

Except point number 3 mentioned @a_k, which is simplified version of point number 2. Remaining are invalid. Point 1, which country's aircrafts don't need maintenance after certain period of time?????? If they does, still it has nothing to do with air to air refueling. point 2 and 3 are same. point 4 and 5, again they have nothing to do with aerial tankers, that is separate topic

panicslayer, when you have 1000s of aircrafts in your inventory, maintenance becomes a secondary issue when keeping certain number of them airborne with air-air refueling. a_K was eluding to this reality for PAF. With limited inventory, maintenance schedules become an issue when considering how long you can keep a certain aircraft airborne.

I am still waiting for answers to my questions.
