An update:
A/c wasn’t working properly, the technician diagnosed a faulty condenser.
Asked the distributor of Mitsubishi parts, he had nothing in store, and said that the new shipment will take some time as his minimum order quantity is 35 pieces, but he could get one from Singapore through airfreight with a 3k Premium, which will be delivered in 3-4 days. Searched for a used at Shershah, there were only 2 available, got one delivered (10k) and the technician said it wasn’t up to his liking. He went to Shershah himself next day and said the other one wasn’t good either. He suggested a Chinese copy (11-12k), but I said no. Finally he procured a Thailand made new one (13.5k), got it installed, working flawlessly, but still needs to be tested on a long run to be doubly sure.
When he was test driving for the A/c, I got a call that the car isn’t starting as the fuel has finished. I said that isn’t possible, when I reached there, it turned out to be a leaked radiator!! The guy pulled out the radiator, which surprisingly, looked in very good condition comparing to the overall condition of the engine room. The leakage was from the return valve at the bottom of the radiator, but unfortunately the technician fixed it with magic epoxy without telling me first. So far it is working nicely but I intend to replace the bottom part altogether.
This long narration serves 2 purposes. 1 is to seek the experienced members’ guidance and 2nd is to let newbies like me to know that these kind of situations may and will arise to cope with. It’s been 3 days to get and install a simple condenser to have the A/c running properly, and when it does, there was another problem to be taken care of.
Now the vehicle will go to the mechanic today, hopefully, to have her engine and related stuff checked and sorted.
