My best and worse car list

1. Suzuki margalla;

It was and ramains to dis day one of the best cars i have driven in pakistan. The handling was excellent, pick was good (even by todays standards). braking was rock solid. No offense to Honda civic lovers ( i have a civic prosmatic). The car compares favorably to the best new cars today.

1. Toyota Corolla 1.6gli, 1.6gli auto 1996-2000 (good pick, great comfort, luxury ride, excellent handling)

3 Toyota Corolla 1984-87 (great over all car even by todays standards\

1. Toyota Corolla 1988-1994 .. did not drive this car in pakistan but was a good car in the GCC Countri

2. Honda Civic 1996-onwards .. good cars but 2002-2009 models suffer from stiff, hard ride and engines that have to be revved really hard to get any meaning ful performance.

3. Honda City 1999-2001 Also good reasonable cars

4. Mitsubish lancer ... Poor resale but offers a great drive (2004 onwards )

worst cars ever driver

1. Honda City 2006-8.. horrendous pick and performace, subpar fuel economy, bad handling on curvy roads.. poor braking. Horrible engine sounds. weak rattle prone body.Worst new car I have ever driven

2. Toyota Corolla. 2002-2008 Dangerous braking. noisy at highway speeds,wind noise at high speed. Bad Highway stability. Poor handling. but Pick is excellent even with 1300 cc engine.

nice review. i guess u r more or less rite. i wud also like to add Suzuki Khyber in this list. in its time, it was a wonderful car. personally, i love baleno as well, but some ppl mite not agree with me cause of its nakhray on CNG

in the worst cars category, i totally agree with u. i have both city and gli back home, and both are difficult cars to drive with no concept of braking. however, u can safely add cultus in it as well, as the only gud thing in the car is the space which it offers. i wud even rate mehran and alto better than this car, cause it has so so so many manufacturing faults

^^ city 2003 + had the least pick cuz it was for economy........rolla has a better pick then that car...

Best:-
Honda Civic 1999-2000 (y) The best in all aspects in Civic!

Toyota Corolla 1996-2000 (y) Is really a good car! Atleast Best of all corolla!

Honda City Hypervalve 1999-2000 (y) The best of all Cities in every aspect! (the new model Steermatic is good too)

Lancer is 2004 is quiet good!

Worst:- Corolla 2002-2009 (n) " Dangerous braking. noisy at highway speeds,wind noise at high speed. Bad Highway stability. Poor handling " and poor pick! ( i agree with the poster)

City:- 2002-2005( The old shape) IDSI (n)
Not that much stable at high speeds! Not good pick!

i used to own a margalla 1995 some years back, indeed an awesome machine but i must say that Margalla requires quite a bit of maintenance.

TOTALLY disagreed with calling city 06 to 08 as worst car. It is one of the best rides for Pakistan. Great fuel economy, totally soundless engine, Handling is good as well. I use to own IDSI manual 1995 and car lives up to its expectations. As for the pick yes IDSI is sluggish but i guess you have no clue about the 1.5 steermatic version.

^^ steermatic was good....but we are talking about idsi one...

and ids-i on stock rims has got no handling as soon u cross 120...steering vibrates....along with the car...and no control of car over 120....

^^^Agreed with Naxun upon the handling. Would also like to add that when you press the brake paddle in City ids-i, it initially brakes but then all of a sudden leaves the grip and seems like its floating on the road haphazardly. I think its the weird body momentum which is to blame.

dont know what u expect from a car with non-ABS system. No issues with shape of the car. You have to know the limits of the car. Cant expect to break at 120 and expect the car to some to a dead stop. Better get the feedback from other city 05-08 owners. BTW check all other non-ABS cars.

I also owned the 2005 IDSI manual on stock RIMS and did not face any vibration isseu after 120, etc.. Dude dont try to put Liana's problem in City

^^^^I've had one for about a month before I switched to Civic 2001 - its an EXi so no ABS neither. But the Civic actually stops when you press the paddle rather than freeing itself from your control like City ids-i does, if you know what I mean.

So my comments are based on personal experience, not assumptions or gossips.

Total agree with the poster but city 2007-09 have great pick fuel efficiency but not good brakes but better then xli...

it depends on what type of tyres you have on as well and also Civic is much heavier in weight than City. Also Civic is 4 wheel disk brake

^^^^ Correction. Civic Exi 2001 has front discs and rear drums.

More weight is just a nuisance if it isn't well-balanced.

What is the difference b/w disk brakes and drum brakes????? which one is better??? Which is more reliable????
