Which Engine Oil to use for my new Alto VXR CNG? and which Transmission/Transfer Oil to use? Where can i get ZIC Orignal Products? My access Area's are (DHA, CLIFTON, I.ICHUNDRIGARH, SADDAR). and after how long to replace them again?

& what do you call Transmission/Transfer Oil in Urdu?

Please confirm what do I need to change after the first 1,500Km of the car;

1. Engine Oil (Which one to use? life?)
2. Transmission/Transfer Oil (Which one to use? whts called in urdu and its life, need replacment after?)
3. Brake Oil (Which one to use? Thats after 40,000Km right? does the new car needs replacement of it?)
4. Engine Coolant? (Which one to use? life?)

Sir, You can use ZIC XQ , FULLY SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL WITH API SM, SAE 5W40 , With ODI above 15k
secondly USe ZIC DEXRON III for Automatice Transmission

first of all sorry for my late response for your quarry because i was not availible in head office secondly as you asked ZIC products comparison with castrol Magnatec 10W40.

so, The first differance Between Castrol Magnetec. and its equiv. ZIC BRAND ZIC A, is of it low grading
ZIC A, SAE 10W40, IS API SM
AND Castrol Magnetec, SAE 10W40, IS API SL
Secondly the Viscosity Index is superior in ZIC A, SAE 10W40 with compare to Magnetec. like wise Flash Point , Pour Point and other spec. are also better in ZIC A, 10W4O.

First of all i would like to correct you that Castrol Magnatec is also SAE 10W/40 and API is SM for details u may visit their site. Secondly why u are consfusing the reader with jubo mumbo terminologies. Simply reply me how effective ZIC A to avoid engine wear & tear as compared to Continuous protection of castrol magnatec intelligent molecules. If it is equivalent to your ZIC A then why Castrol Magnatec prices is more than ZIC A & ZIC A+???

Ok,

After waiting for like 5-6days for your reply I went through and got Shell Hilux HX-7 engine oil in my car. Kindly do let me know if ZIC is better than HX-7 and how?

For Gear oil I went with "Zic Gear FF 75W85 API GL-4", Is this the RIGHT gear oil for ALTO VXR?? the orignal gear oil that came out of alto was of GREEN in colour and zic gear oil was of GOLD colour (not sure 100%about ZIC colour though). Please tell me if the zic gear oil that I got was ORIGNAL, I am attaching some pics of it, do let me know if its orignal I got it from "Faizan Auto Spare Parts, Khaliq-uz-Zaman Colony, Gizri Road". The cap of the bottle was sealed and after that the bottle opening was also sealed (as can be seen in pic)

Brake oil I will change as and when needed.

Please inform me of Engine coolant though and after how much time to completly change it (considering topups as and when needed)

Thanks for the reply, next time I will be going for ZIC A for engine oil. Can you please confirm its price? and the price of ZIC FF Transmission oil (I bought the gear oil for 400rs/bottle) and the price of engine coolant?

Also when to change the engine coolant? (the orignal that came with the car)... or I can topup using ZIC and have no problem with that (or have to drain all the coolant first)?

Also please inform where to buy ZIC products from (Dealer)?

Sir, ODI for ZIC A, API SM, SAE 10W40, is atleast 5k , more over we have tested its quality after 10k and it remained in its limit and showed nominal matel wear with compare to its competitor 10W40.

I would like to clarify as

1 - Castrol Magnatec (CM) is bit thicker than ZIC A at cold state, at 40C CM viscosity is 102 while ZIC A 98.46, even at 100C it's 0.1 ahead of ZIC, so ZIC A should have easy start and less consumption (theoretically)

2 - "intelligent molecules" --- every chemical is build up of molecules, which is aggregate/combination of atoms. So the quality of base mineral and synthetic additives describe the QUALITY. You can only experience this difference by using oil as every company claims they have best mineral base or lab additives etc. etc.

3 - Viscosity index is the additive ratio to base mineral to attain certain viscosity at relative temperature. If synthetic additives are not good then they breakdown composition of oil on heating etc. called shear back of oil. Oil doesn't decrease but perform low at this state.

4 - Oil grade like 10W-40 (in SAE system) is multi grade attained by any combination of base and add. but should have standard viscosity range at specific temperatures. API like SM, SL is more qualitative than only grade of SAE.

I have not used CM yet, I think it's good quality oil.
I am currently trying new oil and very happy with performance yet, very soft on engine. it's ENOC 10W-40 from Dubai.
I have used ZIC A twice and was good experience, went 6000+KM in 1990 Khyber.

I wish to ask if there is some Product suggestion pool in your office setup,

I suggest to introduce 75W-110 Gear oil, bcoz old (worn) gears need this kind of multigrade, 85W-140 is too thick from cold to hot. fuel consumption is also one matter with too high density.

I read this that AMS OIL USA has such grade, actually in our Country where drivers are you know.. Driving styles and khadda roads etc. old vehicles gear system does damage and such grade would be good, I suggest.

BTW what is price of 85W-140 gear oil ?

I usually change after 3 K and at that time its colour changes to very dark(blackish) is that alright and i can continue to 5K ? How to check physically if it is time to change,what are the indicators?

Get your engine flushed by some chemical, some mechanics advise using thin oil separately but better to use the chemical like one shown in below thread. You would be able to go 5K.
