Photography is an art. There is a very broad line that separates photography from snap-shooting. Most of the pictures I see here (except for a few) are random snap-shots.
The art of photography is what makes you a photographer.

i ave Nikon D5000

I am in the phase of buying an SLR. How do you find it overall? Do you recommend it over the Canon 500D? (D5000 is 9k cheaper than the 500D here in Karachi).

well i havent used 500D but one thing i did notice on the specs that it has a pixel density of 4.5 MP/cm^2 as compared to D5000's 3.3 Mp/cm^2 which results in more clearer pic for D5000. rest you can check here

more mega pixels does not necessarily always mean better pics.
