The moon is looking really beautiful so i headed out and took a few snaps. Probably made a million photographic errors but this was my best shot.

ISO 400 , F 2.8 , 2s shutter speed. Plus full optical and digital zoom (probably my biggest mistake) It was hard trying to keep my hands steady and i got plenty of blurry pictures. And yea , there is noise but that was expected.

The only source of light being the moon of course!

Any tips will be welcome.

Nice try (Y)
For shooting the moon, you do not need slower shutter speeds, as it is quite an illuminated object.
Here are the recommended settings:
ISO: 80 or lowest on your camera.
Shutter Speed: 1/80th or 1/100th of a second.
Aperture: f3.5 or f4.
Metering: Spot.

Try these settings, they will yield a better result.

Was going to give that a go since i can't sleep but the moon has set to the point i can't see it. Going to give it a go on the 28th with the full moon.

Nice picture, specially more so as it was taken without a tripod.

A nice refresher for all the random stuff.

Invest in a tripod as soon as you can.

took this picture by placing the cam on a wall, it came out sucky sucky, a lot of noise was there and this was too bright so photoshopped it and we got
