does it harm your engine if it's newly rebuilt?

Yes if the oil is too much it can bent the rods aa the 1 KR pistons are not flat on top but have a cup like top so the oil won't get into the rings and seal them but stays in the top cup and then when you check the compression it reduces the total CC volume and increases the pressure.

What I adopt if it's too nessasary to perform the compression on 1 KR I spray the oil through a pressurized nozzel on side of the bore walls and try to avoid the piston top.

But any way you have a healthy engine now please don't perform the wet compression again.

Went on a road trip of about 500km with 4 adults on board and with ac! Car performed great generally through the whole trip apart from this one time. While driving in bumper to bumper for around 5 minutes with 44 degrees outside, the cars ac stopped working. It was than fine when i reached open roads and was fine the whole day after that. any ideas?

visit car ac shop the dryer bottle need to be changed.

Vitz 1KR manual says that normal compression pressure is 205psi. Minimum acceptable pressure is 156 psi. What are your views about these values for a newly rebuild engine?

Newly rebuilt engine doesn't cross 150psi until it's breaked down properly

So after proper break-in can we expect to have 200 psi compression?

200 psi is not normal
Then normal healthy compression is 175 psi.

After that if the compression goes up it indicates the deposit buildup in combustion chamber it helps in diagnosis and rectification of premature engine failure

But the manual says normal compression is 205psi. This means a rebuild engine will have somehow lower compression than a company build engine.

1. Inspect the cylinder compression pressure.
2. Install SST (compression gauge) into the spark plug hole.
   SST 09992-00500
3. Fully open the throttle.
4. While cranking the engine, measure the compression pressure.
   Compression pressure (Normal condition):
   1,422 kPa (14.5 kgf/cm2, 206 psi)
   Minimum pressure:
   1,079 kPa (11.0 kgf/cm2, 156 psi)
   Difference between each cylinder: 147 kPa (1.5 kgf/cm2, 21 psi) or less
   NOTICE:
   • Use a fully-charged battery so the engine speed can be increased to 400 rpm or more.
   • Inspect the other cylinders in the same way.
   • Measure the compression as quickly as possible.
5. If the cylinder compression is low, pour a small amount of engine oil into
   the cylinder through the spark plug hole, then inspect it again. HINT:

• If adding oil increases the compression, the piston rings and/or cylinder bore may be worn or damaged.
• If the pressure remains low, the valve may be stuck or seated improperly, or there may be leakage from the gasket.

Why not 200 psi?

99 percent engines in Pakistan are on 200 psi when they are smoking the engine oil like nuts.
And a dry engine is around 175 on normal cranking.
To achieve a 450 rpm rotation we have to buckle it up with lots of amps to get the starter to rotate on that speed.

Sold it because wanted a change! that was the only reason, The friend who bought it from me 7-8 months ago has been enjoying it without any issues!
