Yes but tbh car looks beautiful but its way overpriced. I think their target market are those people who are buying Toyota CHR for 65 lakhs or buying corolla cross

it wont, look at the new civic XI price now that too tentative price. Every new comer or new shape launch in Pakistan will be very costly due to currency devalue, less localize parts and the inflation of everything since last 12-18 months. BTW Peugeot 2008 model in other countries are almost same price as our. The price of current shape Altis Grande in Pakistan has reached 4.2m and price of Fortuner Sigma has crossed 10m and both are overpriced as well if you compare to India or any other Asian countries. Also the price of Toyota CBU such as Corolla Cross has also reached 10m and if the Toyota Indus assemble here it will cost around 6.5-7m.

Corolla Cross cbu from Toyota has increased the price of 1.5m last week, fully loaded Corolla Cross is now costing 10m.

Yes if the dollar stabilize till 2023, i think if the dollar reach 200pkr next year it will cross 7m easily.

Peugeot 2008 allure model launched here is more expensive than same model lunched in malaysia:
Allure model - RM 126753 equals 5.35 Mn pkr; thats abt 5 lac more in comparison to pakistan.
However civic 2022 model price bracket here is almost same as other aisan ctys.

U didn't get my point, the price of 100% ckd imported parts with 25% duty on it would always be expensive compare to Honda, Toyota n Suzuki as they have vendors manufacturing parts for them. Honda civic X 40% parts is localized n the rest is CKD imported so u see my point that how they can control their price but in the future Lucky Motor is also going to manufacture for their kia vehicles parts at their Lucky Motor plant. Peugeot 2008 is almost new in the mkt and they are only manufacturing in limit, around 200-250 per months or maybe even less. It's not to compete with their KIA vehicles at all, in fact it's for the niche market.

Btw Malaysian plant for Peugeot and KIA is operating since 2007-08 and they have many vendors to produce parts locally for them. Also there's many competitors in Malaysian mkt so they have to compete with other brands.

PS all the ckd parts for Pakistan Peugeot 2008 is from Spain.

my calculation is that it might not cross 180 till 2023....because even present value is result of gross miss calculation on payment + policy incentives for growth. Now, as the growth (export led) has some how picked up and trade deficit is lowering , USD FX rate must have a correction. also i am putting atleast 2-3 billion from china in my model.

they are giving duty of only 10% not 25% coz of new entrant status in 2016-21 policy

Oh yes your right, it's 10% for the new comer and 25% for those who have localized the parts.

I doubt, but now maybe some broken hearted civic fans will buy it since both will have similar hp figures and civic being over priced aswell.
