No one ever got back to me from Lucky. I wrote to them twice. I got a nice we'll get back to you message and then complete silence.
As for the belt, long rides, warmer weather, quicker service intervals (6 mo vs. 12 mo for most of the world for 2008) will likely save those who religiously follow the service schedule and ride their cars for longer duration.
Short trips mixes fuel with oil which is left unburnt and eats away the belt quicker (as far as i've read).
I would suggest ONLY TO USE COMPANY PROVIDED OIL & FILTER and FOLLOW THEIR SCHEDULES AND ADVICE. Any deviation and they will throw owners under the bus or in this case a busted 2008.
There were rumours of belt to chain change for newer models but their is nothing concrete from what I have read. Likely be upgraded when euro 7 regulations are enforced.
