peugeot 205 GLD and peugeot 309 GLD made their way to pakistan in 1993 as Taxi scheme which was started by The primeminister Nawaz Sharif back then...These cars were directly imported from France .. without ne duty or taxes.. and were to be distributed to be used as cabs...

but i guess these cars were to good to be used as cabs..so it transformed into "Oficers scheme.",.. in whihc government officers could book these cars ....

they are available in 1769cc naturally aspirated (the 205)
and 1905cc(the 309) naturally aspirated versions...

clocked 70 thousand miles..2 days back..

some of the long awaited parts arrived today..

they include

1 X power window winder motor with arm

1 X water pump

1 x head gasket

1 pair of rear wheel cylinders.

actually the conversion was done in the peugeot workshop ... but since I did not have enough time... so some adjustments were due.. which we carried out on our own along with the help of Mr. Ameen.

original peugeot stock power window motor and winder mechanism along with original peugeot power window switches.... it had to be successful...

update

last weekend...

new diesel filter installed..

consumption recorded to be 17.10 kilometers per liter ...
including a trip to muree and a run to jhelum in bad weather...no soft driving...

power window running ever so smoothly...

googled and found out that the engine compression ratio is 23:1..

and max torque is 108 NM at 2000 rpm

does it has 8000cc engine under the hood producing 1860 hp ?

i have got one ...which is repaired..but looks quite okay...specially if yours is broken...

today i was bz with a friends peugeot 205..which had a total messed up n farigh suspension...

Did the following to fix the suspension...

helper rod bushes x2
track rod arm bushes...new x 2
tie rod ends... new from UK x 2

steering rack cross Qabli
fuel filter installed new ..was messed up ..thanks to shell's diesel with water n katchra mix

sorry no pics...just the alignment needs to be done.. and the suspensin is streamlines for atleast 2 years....will post pictures of car tommorow....

Do you measure milage for full tank or for some partial amount of fuel?
