guys i have an old nokia 5250 i guess xpress music i dont use it but i thought of using it for rough and tough use but its screen flashes white and it turns off then, any idea what to do?

my brother's S4 is having some problem with display.Sometimes it shows horizontal lines and blurr display (images attached) whereas after a day or so it becomes absolutely NORMAL. Its fine now as well.

Went to repair guy, he says it might be due to pressure crack and whole panel needs to be changed. If it was so then why it starts behaving normally after?
No drop history and no physical damage can be seen

Seems like an issue in LCD, better use it as is as u will need to replace the whole panel which is pretty expensive.

Replacement cost for LCD (good quality) is approx 12500. Looks like more of an LCD issue.

When it give issues, try dialing #0# to open test menu and test its touchscreen and display related stuff and then turn off the phone and put it on charging and see the display (charging icon) to see if the problem persists or not.

Also check graphics in download and recovery mode.

yes i was also quoted rates b/w 10 to 14k..During the time when it was giving issue, i opened test menu.

it was still blurry but touch was working fine..Dimming option was 100% fine. Charging icon was also fine by turning off at that time. Even while starting the display was fine only upto the starting screen showing Samsung S4 GTi9505.

If display is bad, it's bad everywhere. Its better to check software issue first.

Backup all important data first.

1. Settings > general > about device > software updates. Install latest updates, if available.

2. After installing updates, turn off the phone and remove battery for one minute and put it back and keep the phone off.

3. Turn on the phone by pressing volume up + home and power button simultaneously. Recovery menu will open. Use volume keys to navigate to 'wipe cache partition' and select it using power button and then reboot phone.

Try these, if these don't work, there are few more solutions available to diagnose and fix software issues, i.e safe mode, odin, factory reset etc.

Guys need your help @axe.effect @spano or any other genius A moto g 4g (1st gen) in the family was dropped. It's lcd didn't break and the phone is still working in the sense that the alarm rings and everything but the display is showing moving purple and gray lines, pictures of which u have attached. Is this a digitizer issue and what should be the approximate cost of getting the phone repaired?

Need a phone...ram needs to be more than 1gb...camera should be able to scan pages...battery life should be decent....Should look good and not be bigger than s3...I like the looks of sony phones

If you want 'solid speed and performance' in least price, get Windows phone.

Check Lumia 540 dual sim specs, available for rs. 15000, twice faster than 1GB ram laggy Androids.

Still camera and display is better than Grand Prime, but no HD video recording. Battery timings are very good too.

I got Lumia 430, the most basic Windows phone and it turned out to be faster and lag free than Grand Prime and S3 [emoji1]. Windows 10 mobile is releasing very soon, which is very much better than Windows 8.1. They have highly customizable UI.

But if budget is 20000+, then get a 2GB ram Android phone.

Use camscanner or any scan app from play store. They scan pages just like a real scanner.

On a side note, you can use Roehsoft ram expander app to increase ram using SD card on rooted phones. It makes the phone lag free, but battery consumption gets higher.

Great, that it got fixed itself. Just keep up with software updates and you will be good.

Once of my friends got his display changed for similar graphics corruption you faced, but later that turned out be software/application issue.

Its very rare but that happens.

No about about Motorola, but the Gorilla Glass betrayed the LCD. Its meant for LCD protection.

Ask them, they are seniors.
