It won’t sell. Like the current generation, when they initially priced it near Fortuner, they hardly sold any units. They must price it around Fortuner G and below Fortuner V.

Although, it's possible they might be planning local assembly. They might've learned from the past experience they had which you mentioned as CBU will cost most probably as much as legender at least. (Hopefully not)

That would be highly unusual considering the current Santa Fe is barely an year old. Plus, Nishat has just launched the new Elantra, is about to launch the Sonata N Line and is gearing to launch the new Tuscon.

Current 4th generation santa fe was launched in august 2023 , considering atleast 5 years new 5th generation santa ge logically expected to be launched somewhere between september 2028 to september 2029

You don't need to speculate. We'll see the sales numbers in a couple of days when PAMA releases the report, and see if it has actually picked up or not.

The first cycle of sales (3-4 months) is always great for bad launches aswell. Then these cars ( mostly with markups) gets stuck at dealers and showrooms. After this period, the actual tr3nd starts to appear.

Exactly this happened with civic. Sportage will have worst.

Bought Santa Fe Signature on 6th Feb. Waited for Kia Sportage L upto 6th Feb. When I saw the car and the Dealer like behaviour of KIA Dealerships in Lahore. I preferred to spend 1 M more and bought Alhamdollilah a far better car than Sportage L HEV. So you are not alone lot of people have diverted to Santa Fe after the debacle from KIA

Santa Fe Smart is cheaper than Sportage L HEV. This shows the price determining strategy of KIA is very poor. Hyundai is performing way ahead in Sedans and SUVs and Pick Ups. They have a better business plan and vehicles in each segment. We'll done Hyundai.

Agreed. If they fix the Tucson HEV price at 12 M and the 2.0 at 10 M, KIA Sportage L HEV and FWD will be finished. One more thing if they keep up the HTRAC version in HEV and in 2.0 it will further pin down Sportage.

This screw-up is completely on Lucky and primarily affects their bottom line. KIA (the global brand) itself probably wouldn't care, neither would Hyundai. They're getting sales either way since Hyundai actually owns KIA.
