Nouman was a childhood friend of mine. His dad Brigadier Akram is a childhood friend of my dad's. His younger brother Salman tested positive for Covid-19 recently, he has recovered now Alhamdulilah.

There is no harm in discussing. Discussions and debates are good. Don't just shut people up with illogical comments. The experts are doing the job but the same reports and information has been released by PIA and CAA. Accidents happen, if we keep with the notion "time likha hua tha" "maut ani thi" to phr isi tarah bhetay rahain gai , and the world will move forward , going to the moon/space and back on basis of immaculate SOPs, Systems and Processes which the ATC and Pilot seem to be oblivious about, more so the management who has to create the required culture.

Did you read my entire post? Nouman was my childhood friend. Where did I compare him with anyone? He was incomparable when it came to flying.

people referring F-16 crash with a passenger aircraft pilots' blunder is no comparison or to be referred to. right ?

I'm not angry, just clarifying my position. The pilot of 8303 clearly made a series of errors and for those who keep saying we shouldn't discuss or have an opinion until any official reports are released; well, this morning the French authorities announced that they have downloaded the data from the FDR and it is very clear to them that the pilot ignored repeated warnings from ATC about his altitude and speed in order to continue with his approach and landing when obviously it was unsafe to do so.

sir now please guide me who in right state of mind can gamble with multi-million dollar aircraft and price less human lives.

ATC reported the aircraft passing the runway threshold at 210 knots. That's 70-80 knots faster than normal landing speed of an A320.

Very unfortunate for the passengers, they were just sitting ducks.

Wah sir jee wah....ACE bana diya app nay ....May Allah grant him highest place in jannah....please do not compare both Captains they both made mistakes, he flew around 17000 hours and may be made an erroneous mistake doesnt make him a bad Pilot.Just think of all the safe landings he had made before..... accidents are bound to happen it is unfortunate but yes Pilots have deliberately crashed planes, gone to sleep and what not....haar waqt wardi wala hero our pant shirt wala zero nahi hota sir

On F16 crash, i personally think that he should have known that there is no return now so i don't understand why he kept trying to save the plane, was it worth his life? Absolutely not. At one point, the plane was already on its doomed trajectory and being an experienced pilot he must have known it and should have ejected at that time. Also the loop was started way too low so yes mistakes do happen no matter how good you are.

And obviously things are easier said than done.

no drive dare to drive and park a car at any spot without using brakes.

case of F-16 pilot was different he attempted a location for possible recovery where his failure resulted in almost zero loss on ground of any human life and property.

case of PIA pilot is otherwise.

to me loss of an F-16 Instructor pilot with clean track record & Colossal loss of PIA as organisation and civilian casualties is 1:1

They need to hire fresh Pilots purely on strict merit exactly like we see in other major Airlines in the world. Here in PIA there is a lot of corruption while recruiting Pilots which has been there since decades . Majority of the current Pilots in PIA are either sons of Captains or related to some MNA or a MINISTER. Many potential competent people fail to join due to these mafias .
