In its summary prepared for the ECC, the Ministry of Industries, in a meeting on November 10, revealed that Atlas Honda had pressed for application of the new entrant policy with incentives to the motorcycle manufacturers bringing new technology.

The ministry said a committee, constituted by the ECC, reviewed the technological difference between the new model of Atlas Honda and the models already being assembled in the country.
It arrived at the consensus that keeping in view the technological difference, comments of members and technical input of the Engineering Development Board (EDB), the new model of Atlas Honda ? Honda SDH CBF-150 ? should be granted the new entrant status.

Atlas Honda is in business in Pakistan for decades and still demanding to be treated as new entrant, that is strange.

It would be better if they launch Honda CB Hornet 160R instead of cbf150, if they are launching some thing new then it must be a fully updated product and not an outdated one.

Atlas Honda is in business in Pakistan for decades and still demanding to be treated as new entrant, that is strange.

but than after some moments, i saw this new article whose title say ECC Refused

I am surprised still after so many years of cooperation with Atlas Honda they can't
develop an engine. Heromotorcorp in India was same partner like Atlas is with Honda
see where is now Hero company have such an wide variety of motorcycles with latest
engines and technology.

But Atlas Honda in Pakistan still seems idiot requesting government to allow import of
new technology from Honda and treat them still like new entrant try to bring change in Pakistan :D

No brother i don't think, last PPP government was the main reason for Yamaha late
entry in Pakistan this government is doing better and Pakistan is stable so investment
is coming in Pakistan and government is facilitating them i think its for the first going
to happen in cars big three will finally face some competition as france car maker renault
coming in Pakistan and Audi also planing of assembling car in Pakistan.In motorcycles we
already got Yamaha and Benelli & keeway have just entered in Pakistan.

It is this government policy which made big three cry and Pak Suzuki to this extent they
threatened to move their investment to Iran :D

Regarding post i think if Atlas Honda is keen they will eventually be able to launch some thing new
VIcky bhai does't Atlas honda request to treat them as fresh entrant look funny to you

Ishaq Dar is doing right if he has hold them for this request & refused request :D

Due to this thinking pattern Atlas and PakSuzuki are selling us outdated products, simple. If it is launched in India and Bangladesh then why not here.

Hornet would also be able to compete fz16 if Yamaha launches it in future.

Atlas is definitely partner with Honda Japan but you can say Japanese earn bad
only for their logo on Atlas motorcycle or "haram ka khaate hai sirf logo ka"

Atlas had co-operation they have finally been able to locally made almost
complete motorcycle if they had not co-operation. they would have not been
able to do it on their own.

Atlas uses Honda logo because people love Honda

All product line motorcycle of Atlas Honda are made here in Pakistan except for the

So that was the reason for the stagnancy and the only sticker change policy of Atlas Motorcycles in Pakistan. They are using just Honda name and that's it. Now after Yamaha entry, things are bound to get changed for Honda in Pakistan.

I hope this is a good news for Honda Bikers.

ECC has refused new entrant status, Honda will never introduce it without that status as it does not offer them the margins they were basing their assumptions for launch on. So people should really forget this is going to be happening.
