That's perfectly fine. I understand pretty well because I faced the same issue when mine fell sick this January.
Long story short, she inhibited a virus called something I can't spell and others can't pronounce but in layman words, it meant 'flesh eating bacteria' and according to our research, it attacks one in a million people. It ate up my mother's arm from inside. Doctors operated to kill it but mum suffered a massive heart attack shortly after the operation and couldn't survive that (we were already warned of that).
As per the females ov the family, my mother was always complemented on her beauty so she wouldn't have been able to bear the loss of an arm, which the doctors said would have had to be amputed had she lived, and the virus not finished thoroughly.
Owing to this, I can well imagine your mother's agony. Hope she reverts back to normal and is on her feet once again!
