i'm sure it's been said a million times so far but i cannot stress how important it is to kee the weight to a minimum. you could try drilling out holes in all large pieces of metal but just enought to not compromise structural integrity.

the engine could also do with good old fashioned tuning which woudl help it make the most power allowing it to be as fuel efficinet as possible.

i know it is a long shot but you could also look into turbo charging as it is a very efficient way of getting more power from an engine. all you'll need is positive intake manifold pressure so even a tiny turbo pushing 1psi would be sufficinent (no need to rework the internals).

sir we have tried to keep weight to minimum.the chassy is of fibreglass.car weights only 50 kgs with body and engine.
engine tuning would be done tomorrow because this engine was factory tuned for bush cutting purposes.
as per shell eco marathon rules we can only use simple carburated engine.turbo,supercharger and efi systems are clealy ruled out

todays experiance.
went to PIA cargo.they told that for tax exemption we need to go to fbr for clearence.fbr is the worst thing in our land.spent whole day there and they didnt proved to be useful.one refers other and they ppl are go0d in delaying process.expected time given was 6 months (just to sign a letter)
in meanwhile one stupid send us to ministry of commerce where we spent almost four hours while the section secretary was taking meal with his guests and then taking nap and so on ...
moral of the story:-
go to deputy collector in pakistan customs with a letter of university and get it approved.ur done voila
plus this dc option is valid when the vehicle dosent has petrol and a battery.if u have battery and petrol in vehicle and fbr is inevitable.

hay bro nouman here from UET pesh ! we talked some time ago but u wont remember !
i think u would have used aluminium in all of Ur body and chassis design, it would have been more light weight and it would have more strength than the Fiberglas and less weight then iron ! also i want to ask u that is it a 3 wheeler ? do check it in every way after finalizing it ! also if there is something i can help let me know

3rd picture has other teams from Pakistan...from right most is lala (with caps shade facing backwards) lalas team was from NED karachi and his team`s name was WINMARK, on his left is a member of team of AIR university- Y-knots was the name of their team.third from right is arsalan aman (he is our team member). I am on fourth right.fifth is Wiqas anwar (team Pak-Thunder)
5th picture has team of UET Taxila.their name was Pak-Pacers.on right most is adil,left one is awais and the lady in red with black scarf is javeria.
6th picture has participants from India.the girls in the mid had their own team which consisted of all girls team.they were from indira ghandhi college.unfortunately their car could not makeup to track.
8th picture onwards are cars of other participants...

NOTE:-
This thread is not only about my project,or the efforts produced only by our team.in this thread participation of our team and entire event is discussed to pass torch to the next generation participating in this event for years to come.
the pictures of other teams are posted for PW menbers general interest and/or for other person who want to participate should have rough idea what to make.

I was gping to built myself a gocart, then kuch calculations and survey k baad pata challa k kaam changa khuwaari wala haai aur 30000+ Rs lagenge so I cancelled it and thought that job k baad he karunga

car arrived late
three,four parts failed,were not in our extra case and unfortunately at that particularly last day there were strikes because some leader was released from jail.
also the environment of malaysia...it can rain cats and dogs-anytime.

these were some issues which barred us from making official track record.
P.S these things seem minor but should be taken into account by any follower as they proved to be a major upset in our case

atleast u made it to Malaysia and showed ur pressence there as a pakistani engineer ! and at least u have a heart to do this project i salute u ! i may also do this InshALLAH as im locating parts 1 by 1 ! will be needing ur help alot
