updating gear train from 1:17 to 1 :32we are using chain and sprocket mechanism to drive wheel.also the stock clutch is removed because it gets engaged partially and is made of light material (under stock conditions it has to rotate bush cutters blade, and we are using it to lift weight of approx 120kgs).and hence the clutch slips currently the idea of chainsaw clutch is under processing as it gets engaged radially and is designed to lift greater loads.also on the outer drum where clutch comes in contact the area has been knurled to give clutch a firm grip.will post the pictures of stock and the chainsaw clutch soon
pics of gear train comming
Best of luck Lalay
luv the car,
Bravo to the heads working for it. My Love and Good Luck
Good workI pray for your success
my advice: 1. keep the steering tolerances tight as it will reduce extra drag, i.e. the steering toe-in, camber, etc. also check these with the driver sitting inside.2. higher tire pressure will give you low drag3. also check on a little uneven roads and slight slopes. it may help you tune the power of the engine
below is the link of selected teams:http://www-static.shell.com/static/ecomarathon/downloads/2011/asia/sem_asia_2011_team_selected_31jan2011.pdf
i can see some other teams probably from pakistan. one of them is "pak wheelers"... i havent seen it on pak-wheels?
best of luck
todays update:gear train installed...dosent worksreason being misalignment of chain as the sprockets are situated close to each other.at this much close distance misalignment of even 1cm causes chain to detrack and ocassionally dismantle...we went through both options, the chain got detracked and when we fixed a channel which would stop detracking-the chain eventually got into pieces the chain mechanism is dropped and now wondering over idea of belt and pulley...
Awesome bro!
