No offence indeed. everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.
When I compare cars, I try to compare them by technical specs and luxury they offer. Spectra is completely power-packed, whereas alto (and mehran of course) are completely man-power-packed.
I will not be surprised if suzuki puts pedals below the steering (like in tri-cycle) and offer engine as after-market accessory. I will not be surprised if people in our country still buy these, simply bcoz they are suzukis and maintanance is cheap. btw only suzuki cars with cheap maintenance are mehran and khyber, rest is just hype because nobody bothers to do any research (except asking similarly minded people) before spending so much money. Just compare the price of some frequently used spare parts of khyber, cultus, baleno, alto, civic (previous model), corolla.
no offence to anyone. I am an ex-mehran owner, so I know its good and bad points. its good in that it doesn't easily break down, bcoz there is nothing to break down in it, and it is economical. I used to go to and return from Muree (from ISB) with one cylinder fill which was Rs. 160 at that time, which was excellent. (Rs. 25 per kg). bad point is that it is severly over priced.
