rubbing of very dilute sandpaper all over the painted area to make the surface as smooth as possible

applying compound with hands equally on one part at a time , spraying water on the compound applied area

with the help of buffer ....buff the area equally moving the machine sideways in a regular pattern and then applying polish in the same manner
