I am looking for a clean roof, though came across around 8 - 9 cars out of which only 1 was in condition that it could be considered. But I am still looking for a better item.

the one with square lights & fiber bumpers. am not sure where you are searching for parts but the butchering yard parallel to expressway wall have few Datsun 120y taxis under chop. best time to visit shershah is between 12 noon to 4 in evening during week days. Bykea is good if you are not sure how to skip traffic mess and where to park.

people like you & me are identified by the shop keepers no matter how we dress up. so best approach is to be humble & polite. @nnabeel is master champion he made a deal for an item which i was to agree in 4 digits & he got it done in 3 digits figure.

I am searching in Shershah, Shah Faisal and Patel Para but not visiting myself due to my schedule. Though a lot of parts are available, but I am looking for the best value for money. I can wait and delay things to the extent that the person in front is forced to come down on the prices

At Patel Para Karachi you will find almost all mechanical parts for you car I am not sure about the roof.

Bhai you will have to take out time and do it yourself. You can't leave these things on you denters. That I am saying from experience.

the thing is jo part miley strike the deal otherwise u will regret the deal when u go next time.

I have seen alot of them there. Plus that whole area comprises of showrooms for new rickshaw and those loader bike with 250cc engines.

At patel para you can easily find Datsun 1300 Sunny and all other Taxi parts new or refurbished/ Plus Richsaw Alterations and other workshops too.

@syedarsalanali boss one more thing u can do. roam around areas where a whole lot of dentars and mechanics are present like areas near mukka chowk, behind sea breeze plaza, soldier bazar, nazimabad block 2, etc etc......there u will find cars abandoned due to delayed work by dentars or lawaris cars. maybe u will find a good carcus and u can get hold of parts u need.

I apologize for the slow updates on the project. Actually now I am trying to keep the project going at very low pace due to my schedule, as I don't want something wrong to go un-noticed.

We have found a donor vehicle with complete A-Pillars and the roof, hopefully will be cutting the roof in a day or two from the car. Pictures will be updated soon.

Please confirm if and only if ur car model came with ashtrays in door cards. if u need please go to the gali before chat wali gali at plaze, there is a shop named ghousia autoes, he have two black colored ashtrays. get them and complete ur car.

Actually I was recently more involved with my other cars (mostly with my other 120y) and this Datsun was not under my focus. After an hour I will be going to the workshop for taking the pics of the roof.

My '82 120Y came with ash trays in door cards and I would love to install them back again. That car is another interesting story, I would share in another thread soon.

Respect your stance will keep you posted here....... and yes social networking wastes a lot of time but it is still the best way to keep in touch with your friends and family who are now spread all around the world.
