Like your EF i had to do the same plate thing in my ballade and the conditions were exactly same as yours except mine took almost 3-4 months to figure it out :S

no, d15b non vtec, but comparing the size of engine bays of Ef and ballade , my rides engine bay is much smaller so it was obvious of it touching the firewall so the moving the engine was the only option, unfortunately figuring it out took alot of time, first i thought it was foundations then engine level etc etc regrously testing different methods gave me alot of headaches and wasted alot of time and the signs of the after math are still in my engine bay (the marks and paint worn out) as its still in original paint and was not painted due to the resale effect :S , i even had nightmares about it in those days :-#

but im glad you got the swap done perfectly..

Yup , u need an expert for such stuff and you urself need to be the other half of the mechanic - gotta search onl9 forums before starting of with any technical work , it helps alot
Usually i go for once and for all projects and dont consider the market value of such old cars (they deserve a rebuilt)
There is always a set budget but it exceeds eveytime
Still have to pay the labour for the swap , have done the electric work already
I didnot alter any part of the sub frame instead did it with plates keeping the future upgrades in mind - better to leave the stock welding as it is
and yes , these plates do help in leveling the engine without even removing a bit

Due to the lack of availability of an Efi tank , again had to alter the stock one and added a good quality fuel pump that is working in perfect condition but the level of petrol in tank has to kept more to avoid hick-ups at pulling stage near reserve

Handy Dandy Advice , Try the new Cultus EFI Tank , cheap and a perfect solution to this . There are a couple of EG and EF civics running perfectly on this ...

City SX is based on EF platform i guess EF cluster fits to City with slight alteration..right?

Yeap, doesnt even need alteration, its a bolt on.
I have a EF cluster in sight but this cluster has a whole other look to it, the door warning indicators remind me of our 3gee Accord
