Hi All
The restoration of the Mini continues beyond the point shown in these pictures, however the thread halted due to me losing the pictures and going away for college. But i've finally found the pictures and hopefully, time permitting, there shall be constant updates.
The rear frame, as it was with the Rawalpindi Leyland Suzuki Setup
You can notice the basic rectangular frame was miraculously left intact, could be out of laziness or sheer lack of skill to actually design an alternative system, anyway it played for the better for me since i didn't have to get a brand new frame made from scratch.

The major modification done here was cutting off a rectangular piece (the extent of cutting can be seen) from the base plate to accomodate the crudely mounted bump stops, it compromised on the structural rigidity but that was recovered later on.

The Shock Absorbers in a mini are mounted onto the body (right in the middle of the wheel arch) and joined at the radius arm. However, here they have been welded onto an extension on the frame and another extension which baffled me when i tried to recognise which suzuki set-up this was, yes, the maestro chose only that puritan brand of the east as his inspiration.
