I have no clue right now sitting in Canada but your location says Rawalpindi, and theres a chest of parts languishing around there with mechanics etc. Try Moqeem Autos, they might be able to help you with your quest.

Which car do you need it for? If its a project car then pictures are very welcome.

All the unnecessary Pieces removed and the frame is now ready to be repaired.

This is what an original frame should look like. This frame belonged to the mini owned by a fellow pakwheeler Moeed Rehman and was in original shape/form.

The Shiny new metal plates point to the fabricated pieces which were skillfully put together by Ustaad Javed. A very clean job. If you look closely in the 'before' pictures then you will notice that it wasn't a simple job which required straight plates to be welded on but a complicated two ply structure had to be fabricated to return the frame to original proportions.

The Boot floor as it was, Multiple boot floors would be a more accurate description:

Several metal sheets of the floor

Almost Seems as if some layers have simply rusted away with time or have been cut away, the reason for that eludes me to this day

The battery box in mini's is in the boot, and sticks out from the rest of the boot floor.

The many battery boxes that laid down their lives in the battle against rust.

Area joining the boot floor to the rest of the car's floor was intact but barely, needs to be re done in proper strength sheet metal

From a distance the floor seems in good nick, that is if you stay beyond three metres of the car at all times, nah, wouldnt fool nobody.

Closer look reveals that the metal has folded and twisted itself during the process of decay

Scraping paint off the very edges of the boot floor revealed shiny sheet metal, un decayed and perhaps original.

If your project is as bad as mine was when i started i would sincerely advise you to find something in better condition. Why?

a) in this state the car will take a lot of your time, effort AND most importantly money

b) there are a lot of other minis around in much better nick that you could save. I can even help you find one if you want.

Meanwhile, details on your project inc pictures would be really helpful and allow me to guide you better.

Thankyou for the praise, a body off resto is indeed a very tough process, not to mention expensive when you discuss it with any denter. My denter is no exception rather is an experienced one at both his work and demanding a high price for quality. But im happy to pay considering the results.

I wanted to ask you since i felt from your comments and posts, did you own a mini some time ago? Did you restore it?
Pictures and details about the car would be very welcome.

I am currently not in lahore but had a few leads last time i went looking for a mini. I'll be back this summer and would be glad to help you find one. What condition are you aiming to get one in? i.e are you planning a restoration or do you want a running car?

It was at a workshop near Firdous market but i took the car home when i left for university last summer. There probably are still some interesting projects going on at that place.

Approach firdous market from cavalry, when you get off of Jinnah Flyover you will see a small showroom on your left with workshops in the adjoining area. Go inside the compound and ask for Ustad Zahid the denter. He might have something interesting going on.

I have indeed owned a few minis in the past but only restored one from scratch all others were in fairly good condition. This was many moons ago. Days when Mini parts were not as difficult to come by as now. I have been meaning to dig some pictures from my archives but just didnt find the time and energy to do so.
For all those on a mini hunt, there is one traveller in fairly decent condition with complete papers in Quetta off the double road. I almost bought it when I realized it was too ugly for my taste. It just doesnt look like a mini I know. There are a few in RWP one with a chopped roof (feel like killing the owner for that). There are 2 on the border of Afghanistan / Balochistan 1300CC pristine condition with auto transmission (without papers) asking price 300k. Great runners but too expensive considering NCP
