Today's updates.

The "gatri" was pushed backwards due to the impact.
It was pulled out to its earlier position.

Later the front sheet of the gatri was removed so that it can be properly repaired.

Notice the rust on the inner side of the gatri.
I was concerned about this rust but my denter said me to leave it as it is.
Any idea that what can/should be done here to prevent this rust issue?
It cannot be painted from the inner side as the outer sheet will be welded again.

The area highlighted in the red circle was pushed backwards.
It has been repaired and is back in its position.
It will be painted later on.
The area highlighted in the blue will be repaired by cutting a small piece of outer sheet in the wheel base.

During repairing we had to remove the inner carpet and insulation.
I thought of availing this opportinity and removed the dashboard aswell so the interior can be cleaned thoroughly.

The floor was in excellent condition with no signs of rust.

Removed the dashboard.

The backside of the dashboard was too dirty.It will be cleaned thoroughly.

Removed the speedometer from the dashboard.

Since I have removed the inner and the trunk carpet along with the underlay/namda.
I want to insulate the floor and the firewall of the car.
As you can see there is already an underlay present under the carpet and on the firewall but I want to place another sheet like Jumbolon insulation board on the floor and on the firewall along with the underlay.
My major concern is to reduce road noises and to insulate the cabin so AC performance can be improved.
Any idea what can/should be used that is durable, not too expensive and does the job?

Thats good progress as for gatri. cover all its holes with floor circle shape rubber water goes inside from these holes and leave rest as it is if painter can spray some paint from holes its not bad thing

second please clean that welding area before paint as its marks look ugly

The holes in the floor were sealed with their rubbers.
I have removed them as I plan to wash the floor before fitting in the carpet.
They will be fit in before placing the carpet.
The welded area needs finishing and will be sanded and edges will be smoothed out before painting it.

Will be cleaning the complete engine bay tommorow Insha-Allah.
If I find any traces of rust then will do something about it.

Well today is Friday so no updates about the car for today.
However I brought the dashboard home and gave the floor and the trunk carpet to the dry-cleaners.
Im still confused about what to use under the carpet and in the firewall to improve the insulation.
Some suggestions about that please?

BTW I tried to clean the speedometer and the side panel buttons.

Next I removed the indicator, speedometer and the instrument panel cluster bulbs.
Removed them from their holders and washed them along with the speedometer plate.

Then I removed the side buttons from the panel and cleaned them.

Removed the indiacator switch along with the ashtray and other parts.

^ I have an aquintance who told me to use the 12mm Diamond underlay sheet.
However I think 12mm is too thick.

Nice going! excellent condition of floor of the car!
I have heard about rust preventing spray cans... it wud be a good idea to clean fully, spray the floor and then cover it back with carpet... spraying inside the doors wud be a good idea too!
