Im still confused about what to use under the carpet and in the firewall to improve the insulation.

Well Im getting this blue sheet in the picture in 12mm at 17Rs./ sq. foot.
What is this in brown colour in the picture?

I have heard about rust preventing spray cans... it wud be a good idea to clean fully, spray the floor and then cover it back with carpet... spraying inside the doors wud be a good idea too!

The speedo is yet to be cleaned.
I opened the speedo but I was reluctant to mess with the gauges, fearing that I might screw them.
I have given them to a professional.
It will be cleaned inside out along with the dashboard.

The guy with the Cultus has put in alot of effort in his car.
However Dynamat sheet would be difficult to source and I dont have much time.
Thinking of getting Jumbolon insulation board in 12mm.

The other guy with the Alto did a nice job too.
I PM'ed him some 3~4 days back but he didnt bother to reply.

If you find the Koito right side sealed beam for Khyber along with the right side OEM parking light then give me a buzz.
I have checked Waseem and Kiyani Autos but no luck.
Here is a refrence picture.

It would be written Koito on the area highlighted in red and some numbers and figures in the area highlighted in blue.

Local ones are available but they are no good.

The steering assembly was damaged so I got Kabli one for it.
It was in excellent condition.
Even the boots were original but had become quite stiff so they were changed with good quality new ones.
The steering was greased.

Notice the area highlighted in red circle.
This was the end that was broken in the accident.

The steering cross had developed some play due to the lock I used to put on it.
It used to produce sounds on bumpy roads.
It was replaced with a new steering cross along with a new rack bush which means no more steering sounds on bumpy roads.

The right side axle was damaged too.
It was bent and was replaced with a kabli axle.

Notice the bend in the axle.

The chassis has come back to its original position.
Carefull measurements have been taken to retain everything in its original position.

The outer sheet was cut and the denting work was carried out on the frame.

The right side fender was repaired.
However the finishing is still to be done.

The denter managed to save the paint, now the area below the black patti "Side moulding" will be painted.

awesome progress! hard work always pay! and ill search for kitto lights when u get its engine installed back in the car make sure to fix each n every nut to their respective position! most of the mechanics leave 2 or 3 screws as they get fed up by the lengthy work!

Will keep your advice in my mind during the mounting of engine.
Give me a buzz if you find the lights.

The car chassis is back in place.
Some minor adjustments will still be needed once the bumper and the grill are back in place.

The gatri has been welded and is back in place.

The engine bay.

The wheel base.
The piece which was cut has been welded and will be painted.

The right lower suspension arm got damaged.

Notice the bent end.

Both the suspension arms were replaced with new ones.

The damaged rim was replaced.
Once the body work is complete. all four rims will be painted silver along with the wheel covers.

Tyre mounted on the new rim.

Balanced and ready to roll!

before anything goes on the car, paint the front exposed crossmember gallery with thick black enamel paint - it will prevent rusting internally. Then get welder bhai to weld the sheet over it.

Secondly paint the headlamp surrounds and lock support bracket matte black. Buy a can of underbody butyl based paint and spray over the repaired areas in the wheel well. It would be a job far better than Pakistan suzuki tried.

It would be a very nice time to plate the bolts and nuts that you removed, They would look very pretty. Get a can of turtle presoak and wash up the whole engine/tranny

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone,
My car had an accident last week and there was some damage done.
Thanks to Almighty Allah no one was hurt.
After the accident I was in the mood of selling it but my denter assured me that the damage is not much and can be easily repaired so now Im getting it repaired.

It is not a big project or restoration.
The main purpose of starting this thread is to get guidance from senior members.

I will try to update this thread on a regular basis.
Your guidance will be highly appreciated.

thats gr8 progress dear its a plywood on which i pasted that jambo (H)

and in abbottabad that jambo cost 12Rs./ sq. foot.

if built well.. keep it, else sell it off... i have an experience with khaybers.... they are awesome machines to drive but once rebuilt, become so uncomfortable to drive that even 70cc bikes look comfortable infront of them

any machine will perform well if it is overhauled right, the problem is that our *hawal mistris always leave something bad so that the poor customer has to come over and over again, that is the reason why it doesnt feel right once rebuilt. after much sar khapaye i understood that this is why people prefer "genian" gaddian.
