elhamdulillah finally managed to get a nice car 47000miles only which is nearly new.

all original no touch ups.

c180 petrol automatic .. elegance. 1999

next upgrade was the avantgarde grill i imported from germany.. sorry new to this forum first time thread dont know very well how to write it...
here it is how it looked after the grill install

brabus tailights imported from germany as well.. i didnt want to go for LED taiwan lights in my opinion they look cheap i wanted something original so opted for these style of lights.. i think they look quiet good.. fit in with original bulb holders.. i am planning to change the bulbs to leds.. as they are readily available will complete the upgrade.

i am trying to keep words to minimum and let pics do the talking i will organise.. the thread later on after i have uploaded all the pictures.

somewhere in the mirror.. also installed 30% 3m window tints on the car.. rear windshield is 50% 3M i think car loooks much better with tinted windows.. i went on my visit to pakistan just recently and did rest of the upgrades..

starting with suspension ..

elegance models usually sit quiet high of the ground which i dont like at alllllll..

so bought 50mm cobra suspension lowering springs imported them from holland.. i will give break down of the money spent of the car at the end of the project..

upon opening the suspension discovered that. the wish bone bushes were torn so replaced by original parts.

u can see the comparison between stock and after market springs.. this is no cheap upgrade these are TUV approved springs..

brake pads and discs were changed few months ago.. by my father.. so all the work thatss been done is top notch..

for now enjoy the pics..

i loved the new stance.. the ride didnt get stiff still comfortable. more comfortable compared to before. more grip.. less body roll..

and the stance just looks amazing.. . i am very happy with this upgrade. money well spent..

it got dark by the time we finished with the upgrades.......... so couldnt take final result pics.. stay tuned in pics to follow. u will be able to compare old and new ride height..

all springs were sitting on 3 number pads.. now hte front is sitting on number 2 pad. and back on number 1 pad.

the life of the electronic key for the car is minimum 5 years.. mine was still running since 1999 so thought it was a good time to upgrade it..

the only place to get it from is shahnawaz unfortuantly the third key in the picture with chrome trim is the new key.. very pleased with it..

sound system upgrade.. look at the old.. OEM speakers. not so good at all...

the quality of the polk momo components is amazing usually people dont bother changing them becaus eof the small size but i am glad i did.. work the money. deep bass .. love. it.. the surround sound feels so much better. the amp was installed under the rear hat shelf.. wires tucked in factory style i will upload pics or the pre and the amp installed soon..

original adapters were used to fit aftermarket speakers to get the OEM fitment.. no fabrication at all..

interior upgraded... the roof started to sag.. due to the heat in summer its glue gave up. so had it done just as it was from factory look so well. dont have before pics as i think u already know what saggy roof looks like.. the seats are off white so had lots of stains but no damage what so ever.. the foam was gone so needed new cushion so seats were stripped bare and new master foam filled up and shaped up.. the cloth was dry cleaned it came out looking as good as new.. i had the option to go for OEM style leather but i thought cloth is better.. much better for winter and summer is pakistan.. maybe in future i will do a leather upgrade for now i will stick to oem fabric.

i was thinking or making uk style or dubai style plates. give me ideas. i want to put the badge somewhere as well. its important. i like it.. that is tamgh e imtiaz . haha.............

this is how the car looks as for now.................................................................................................................................... detailing again. all plastics. re primed and bake painted with priginal MB paint. also the chrome bits i hated that look.. looks so much better now...... lots of interior upgrades done i will upload pics.. alloy wheels refurbished bake painted original MB paint. wheel bolts refurbished as well.. chrome buff.... headlights refurbished with meguiras healight restoration kit.. but i will install crystal ones later with HIDs

sorry my friend keeping all the OEM parts non for sale.. if i was in need of money would sell them but elhamdullilah thts not the issue..

i will keep them incase someone wants to return the car to the look it used to be

taking front springs out that way is very very dangerous on a MB - the springs on these cars are under immense stress one wrong move and your mechanic would have been having his namaz-e-janaza.

btw - the reaward lower arm bushings are cr4p on this model, people usually opt for either a W124 style setup in which both bushes are super hard like the front ones (they almost never go bad) Or use a poly bush.

btw - pushing down the arm like this to take out the spring rips the rear bush apart and even if you had both similar types it still can twist them out of shape and you end up with a funny driving car.
