I have it but it got bent. Finding genuine ones is very hard and the ones that do pop up are very expensive.

A bit of 90's style

The Cressida's stock brakes are good but being so old and being small they were proving inadequate for continous hard stops and pads for them were getting harder to find and more expensive.

I sourced some R32 GT-R/Z32 300ZX 4 piston calipers and rotors for the Cressida. Pads for these are more easily available than the stock Cressida ones.

The Difference between them is huge

For them to be properly installed on the original hubs and mounting points, centering rings had to be made as the R32 rotors have a larger hub bore. Along with that, spacers had to be made for the calipers to get them seated properly. These were all designed in CAD:

These were then CNC'd out of 6061 Aluminum

These will be going on the car soon. I have to source caliper rebuild kits and possibly powder coat them before putting them on.

I sure will. These will be on the car after I rebuild the calipers. Want to have the peace of mind that none of the pistons are stuck and they function as they should.

First of all, great work!

For the rotors, I assume you have checked out clearances from not just the wheels, but all the suspension components as well. The calipers must be rebuilt before installation since their service history is unknown, and one should never take a chance with the brakes.

The choice of 6061 is good, but here, with the heat recycling and the stress of braking, the parts may benefit from being made out of steel. Please keep in mind that 6061 loses about half of its strength at only 600 degrees F, and aluminum generally does not like heat recycling stress over the long term.

I did a test fit and they clear all the suspension components and the wheels aswell. I'm hoping to find the OEM rebuild kit here if I can, if anyone has any leads let me know. The part number is D1ABM-30P25 from Nissan. Otherwise I'll have to order Centric rebuld kits from Amazon.

I wanted to use steel for these but the milling tools for the cnc couldn't cut steel at the time I got these milled. So aluminum was the next best thing. On the design, I've tried to retain as much metal as possible so that it can dissipate heat faster. Down the line I will upgrade these to steel.

The Centric kits will work just fine. Instead of milling, why not have the brackets plasma cut from a suitably thick steel sheet?

Dont know of any shops that do plasma cutting here, plus my cousin owns this shop so I wanted to support him aswell.

Good project but find the front side rotors and shocks of MX 90 dont mess with this RX 80 original rotors.

As MX 90 has genuine 7MGE and GTE engine in it so is the brake system is build as per engine performance plus you need largw servo vacumm and brake master cylinder like ans 1inch or 1.5 inch dual balance type cylinder.
As you are running manual transmission.

And also try to upgrade the read tube type suspension to genuine MX90 independent axcel type suspension.

The front brakes and suspension is the same in the mx83, jzx81, gx81, rx80, basically all x8 chassis.

I'm going to see how the current servo and cylinder handle these brakes, if needed I will find a larger one. The car has been converted from a manual to an automatic.

Converting to independent suspension requires body modification which will not be done to this car.The solid axle is more than capable of handling this power

Front brakes on all x8 chassis are the same. Converting from a solid axle to independant is not bolt on.

Please do some under body review it is bolt on i had converted many RX 80 cressidas to independent diffs.

The bolts are right in the chassis.
Japanees are smart so to cut down the production coat they make all chassis on a si gle pattern and later install the optional suspensions
