Anyone seen the cinnamon brown color in x70 on road yet? It's on alhaj website as well but the showroom people are clueless.
I saw a Malaysian review of this car in brown color and to me it looked ravishing.

looks can be subjective, but the fit and finish is quite a lot more then cultus..

its a very compact sedan. good alternative to the existing hatchbacks

So I wrote to proton, and inquired about the brown color shown in alhaj proton website.
They wrote back that is a mistake at their end and they will correct the colors on offer on their website. Lo & Behold, it's gone now

Wow.
A great product, killed even before it's proper launch: thanks to the great planning of Alhaj group. Until a CKD arrives this vehicle has no place in the market.
If it truly goes as far as spring 2022,it would mean the people promised deliveries for August 2021 will ('hopefully' -nothings still confirm) get their vehicles 7 months later than the original promised date and around 15 months after originally booking. A new industry Record for the most delayed delivery, in the making - all thanks to AlHaj

Tentative delivery of first batch of X70 CKDs delivery is in Feb/ March 2022. Delay is not due to COVID excuse but the machinery required to start assembling of X 70s has not been imported/ installed.
Alhaj is planning to start production/ delivery of saga CKDs only in last qtr of 2021. I dont understand this logic since X70 was intro first in Dec 20.
X70 is a good SUV compared to its rivals. Unfortunately the inefficient Alhaj gp has failed to cash the success of this SUV by deliberately delaying the production of its CKDs...
I am still willing to wait another 5-6 months for my CKD X70...
