Hi everyone, Can some one please share their feedback if they have received their smart card from the punjab excise office lately? I applied for a smart card for my vehicle in June, 2019. Unfortunately, despite visiting their facility and launching a complaint against them on the citizen portal i have not yet received by Smart Card. As per the explanation provided by the Excise commissioner over the citizen portal is that they have some issues with the raw material that is imported from China & America and the printing has been halted for now. More than 700,000 smarts cards are still due to be printed. However, there is one agent who actually requested me to pay him Rs. 2000 and he said he will get the smart card done within a week. Any insights from your side would be really helpful. By the way i am in no mood of paying the agent as i consider that unlawful. The response from the excise office is provided in below snapshot:
The payment date can also be seen in the following snapshot. Hence, i am assuming that any one who applied on the same date or after me is yet to receive his smart card. Please correct me if i am wrong. Thanks
