Push start as an immobilizer or not?

true that but wait till this hammad or guy or dont know what was his old id which he left n shifted to ecu designer comes bashing u like he does all pkdm supporters, i seriously dont understand whats in his mind,even if some1 wont talk about pkdm vs jdm crap like i didnt,he would still come wid his stupid posts like he did on previous page quoting me

and u r the one who advise naive ppl to replace their oem 60/55w lamps with 100/90w & they end up with burnt switches. Listen man as a machine guy appealing Technology always fascinates me & make it clear tht i hav nothing to do anything with jdm / pkdm / usdm.

still i dont see the fun really,even wid key its fine,dont know if factory fitted push start has some other features to make it attractive, i have steelmate 2 way remote wid push start option, unlike these jdm fellows who have to sit in car to start it,i can start it by pressing a button on remote from distance as well widout even opening car but i just use the key
now ecu designer is gonna come n try to defend his jay dee em like a saleman showing off features of products selling it

Now this is called some bad designing.
The cars having push start can't be started even if the door is opened and key is outside (they would beep if the key is not in the car) so you wont forget key outside , some other robber might not be able to get in the car.
I am mentioning just two problem but the manufactures are having 100's in their mind.
Before I had a push start car , I used to think that maybe someone else would be able to open the car and steal anything even if the key is inside as it has sensors but later I came to know that the remote only works from a meter distance.
These are somethings which CHINESE companies ( Small ) dont understand and secondly their system would be easily bypassed whereas the OEM is immobiliser equipped!

as for steelmate system, u can start car even from distance wid remote but car stays locked, i tried starting the car sitting inside the car,car stays locked n steering stays locked as well n in case if try to do anything at all inside alarm starts up n remote shows vibration on it

i guess remote is embedded on key, u use either key or some sensor on door handle to open the doors but after that u just push the button to start car so how does steering lock works? that auto unlocks reading signals from key

You can start when key is in range, apply brake and push start will turn green

If you apply push start without brake while within range then only stereo will turn on and on second push check lights ( orange led on push start)

If car is on N and you step out with the key then alarm will go off

If steering is locked, just sit in car, push brake, push start turns green and on pushing it car will start and steering unlocked

Allah ka Shukar hai, feels really safe
Dont know about other types of car with or without immbolizer

But i do have handbreak gear lock just to b on safe side

the toyota key systems are not all that as they can be reverse coded and then duplicates made of the keys, Thats how your "little shops" are making the keys.

The other issue is that people start to play with the keys in range or try to outsmart the system by trying to fool it or trying to repair the electric steering lock when the column requires repair. This can throw it into crazy tantrums and your bank account money starts to mobilize.

in Passo having push start function,
there is actually no push button, but a sort of plastic handle, which rotates like a key

and there is a place in it to insert key as well

from factory, passo comes with
- a key (with immobilizer chip in it)
- a remote(immobilizer) and in it a small key with no immob chip (used to unlock door only)

if remote battery is weak, then you can open doors by the small key, take the remote closer to ignition push switch, and it unlocks the steering to start the car.

if you dont have remote with you, then you can also start the car wit the key(with immob chip buit-in) by inserting it into the push ignition switvh.

Man but you have to admit that pkdm make stange noises tooooo early, and about the apv you told, that's the top most model of PAK suzuki which worth more than 20 lacks you can't compare that apv with swift or cultus.. But your last point about the care is true very much, that people actually do that when they buy jdm.

my dear brother!

brand new japanese 1000000 times better then pakistani brand new.

BUT

6 years old japanese with 150k on odo meter , we dont know on which roads car has travelled, weather the oil changed on time condition of shocks, suspension and soooo on, can not be compared to 0 meter swift,

buying a 5-6 year old car for only a push start shashka is a foolish thing!
