Now what shall i do if a member post a political/faltoo reply in Professional Forums/Technical Forums?

While agreeing with bango and apologizing for my two posts in that thread, I'd like to ask that what kind of professional talk do we expect in such threads? Even the discussion about the economic problems caused by the hike in petroleum prices would be highly political in nature as we all know the reasons of our economic distress.

I'm not trying to prove you wrong at all. I agree with you but along side pointing out that we can't expect anything better (mature) in such threads. This immature discussion is what we all will see every time because there is nothing mature to talk about over such news which instantly infuriate public (members). And even if the discussion is mature then we can't expect it to be politics-free.

sir g look at my profile. i tried to make atleast 2 threads separate for political stuff but it was never approved. other members who i talked to tried same but their thread was never approved as well. i think if u simply start approving such threads then all the political fuss would go out of other forums. if we have forums for such discussion then no one will disturb other threads with this. but MODS never approve such threads. so fault lies with MODS as well. if u just allow them then other forums will get cleaner. coz the fact is Libra that u cannot discuss automobiles without also discussing automobile industry and government policies on automobile industry (and fuel too, coz that directly impacts automobiles). so to think that no one should/will discuss such things on pw is ignorant in my view.

Roger that Big Boss. This threas has been monitored but hands-off since its inception.

I think that there should also be a thread for Mods complaints against the members too so that Admin can judge both sides.

sir g i appreciate that. let me tell u that i am against religious threads coz i do not think that most of us have enough knowledge to argue on the subject positively. So let that discussion be among the religious scholars. but political is totally different thing. for example, we can argue all we want about religion, but it wont change u or me or Islam. but about politics, if we can have a forum to discuss that then hopefully in next election we can bring about a bigger change. we can select a government that can be better. i think in today's world the biggest expression of speech is political reforms. when government keeps increasing petrol prices every month, that effects me. and it affects others. so these things will always be on pw or any other forum. but the reason they get spilled in professional threads is because of a lack of space to debate politics. I really appreciate u unblocking the thread. thanks for doing that. it will surely help keep politics out of other forums

Rational thought is never considered a viable option; each poster tries to be more outrageous than the rest by coloring their words with profanity as if it adds heft to their argument. It never does. All it does is encourage others to post even more vial, hurtful and nonsensical drivel just to prove that they can. Hence the mob mentality.

There are many other forums in Pakistan specifically catering to political and religious fanaticism. Why is it so important to have such discussions on an automotive centric site?

Added: By the way, it is probably time to change the title of this thread to reflect the passage of time.

I posted a featured ad of my car with ad i.d 178253 on 30 December 2010 for a period of a week, i edit some feature of my ad on 1-1-2010 after then the ad was removed as featured ad and despite of my remainders to mr zahid the ad is not put as featured ad. Please look into my case. Thanks.

More than a mob mentality - its our nation's problem of blind following or how i personally like to call it 'mullah ke peechay bhagna.' These people are not educated enough about politics neither do they possess the analytical ability to have a mature discussion on a topic - which is healthy (don't think i'm dissing fellow members here, i don't have any of that myself - so I just don't take part in such talks) They are just going to go on yelling out KHAPEY and 10%, 5%, 15% because that's all they know. If they want to discuss politics, there are many forums for that.

As far as religion is concerned, its even more sensitive - The Prophet (PBUH) spread religion through his good deeds and not fear and intimidation. Neither did he advise any of his disciples to do the latter. Still, we, after hundreds of years of missing historical records, and our own souls being morally corrupted to the very core, tend to superimpose our own beliefs on others every chance we get. A quote comes to mind here 'It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.' - Aristotle

There should be no political or religious discussions on PakWheels, period.

Suggestion: There should be only one thread for random spottings , crashed wheels i.e in Sights Seen today , if it is not possible to merge all My Spottings thread (already started) than shud merge atleast new threads for spottings (in sight seen today) ,
in my opinion one Thread , SIGHTS SEEN TODAY is enough for all member to share their new spottings rather than starting separate thread.

Shikayat for the Site:
The login page needs improvement. If you don't want to login for every visit(i-e save password), e.g from a public computer, its almost impossible to login to the site. The login page appears again and again.

Shkayat for the members:
Most of the members need to grow up. Honestly speaking the site is full of nonsense replies these days. Some times I feel that I've logged on to THARAKWHEELS.com or HONDAvsTOYOTA.com instead of Pakwheels :S To be very frank, such childish attitude of members have made me loose interest in Pakwheels. This is a problem that no Mod or Admin can rectify, only members themselves should start to act maturely!!!
