If absolutely necessary, then yes.
Precautions that should be taken:
1.Go at a time which does not interfere with his sleeping pattern. If he's an afternoon sleeper and early waker then it's best to leave early in the morning, at least an hour or 2 after having light breakfast and arriving in Multan by the time he takes his afternoon nap.
2. Frequent stops will be helpful
3. Bathroom can be an issue. However if he's used to the squatting toilet then he will be fine. But bending in that position when he's used to a commode can be a painful effort for him.
4. It's best if he sits in the rear seat with the front seat pushed as much as possible. This will allow ample leg room and some people are sensitive to air conditioning so it's best if he's as far as possible from it.
5. If he has a specific chair /sofa at home which has a specific soft cushion use that on his car seat.
6. When getting out of the car, ensure that he doesn't bend too much.
7. Take the best roads. If the route is long, take it if the surface is smooth. But bad roads in out local cars are spine enemies.
8. Drive at a normal speed. Not too fast otherwise you might have to break hard and that could be bad for his back.
9. He's not allowed to pick any heavy luggage.
10. He should climb the stairs very carefully and slowly-holding the railing with one hand.
He should not limit his life completely. As in he should not stop bending even to tie his shoes. He should lead a normal life and he should not be considered as a debilitated person. He just has to take everything a bit slowly and cautiously. He should lead a balanced life.
Has your appointment been confirmed? It's best to get a diagnosis before embarking on this journey so that we could give further specific precautions.
