I have a query. I am very much worried about my height as it has not growed from last 1 year my body stats are

Built:Slim
weight:50kgs
Age:19
I went to see the doc also and he said males grow till the age of 21 so u will grow by that time but i didnt see any major imporvement in my height.Can going to gym helps to increase height or any sports like martial arts or swimming or any diet plan can help me to gain 3-4 inches i am very upset because of my height help anyone.

there is no point in being upset about something that is not in your direct control and there is no such exercise that would increase you better watch and wait ,if you still have concerns you should consult an endocrinologist

Can i give Cows milk to my 7 month old boy? is it better than formula milk? my boy is completely on formula milk , so now want to give him cows milk which is natural , rich and full or vitamins, protein etc... so suggest me which milk is good cow or goat milk? cows milk is easily available rather than goat milk.

there is no alternative to mother's milk but as far as cow's milk is concerned i would advise you to stick with formula since your boy is already 7 months old you should start feeding him with easily digestable stuff along with milk

guys if i sit in a position like when you use a squatting toilet for too long, i feel like i momentarily lose my balance and vision turns black , like fighter jet pilots get blackouts when the air plane pulls up. is it normal

Bodybuilding doesnot reduce bone development overall if no supplements are used excessively. Its a good strategy to start workout now. But no hormones or supplements. Only natural food

it does result in a relatively increased bone mass in response to stress and as long as an individual is having a balanced diet it would actually increase,supplements are actually,BCAAs,creatine,caffeine,concentrates of cesain and whey protein derived from natural sources and i don't see any problem with using them as long as you are doing it right

I've had this problem for over a month now;
When ever I brush my teeth in the morning, I start gagging and sometimes I vomit as well.

I could tolerate foul smells before, now it's just too hard, sometimes I have to take longer routes in Markets, just because I can smell raw meat or fish. I cannot drink pure milk, I start gagging as well. I always mix something in milk, then have it i.e Nesquik, Yogurt or some fruit.

Solutions?

I am 33 and my weight is 70 KG. Last year I got my self tested for Fasting suger , LFT, CBC and Lipid Profile. Every thing was ok, except of LFT (GGT => 128 and I dont drink at all and never did ] and had high cholesterol 250 and triglycerides 450. Initially I tried Allopathic medicine for couple of months and since then I am on homepathic... Now I had test last week and me levels are now cholesterol 238 and triglycerides 538 but my LDL is 128 ( which is first time normal ) ...

Now I have consulted again a Allopathic dr and he said u dont need to worry about it and that I have Hypertriglyceridemia so whatevr I do these levels will stay high and it will not effect heart health (according to him usually it takes 20,30 years to cause damage to heart health)... and reason for my fast and irregular heart beating is psychological.... I am not kind of guy who will take psychological effect ..plus I began to had this feeling from last 4,5 months.

So I need suggestion for experts that how should I proceed with my treatment, should I continue Homeopathic as it has reduced my LDL ... or try something else !!!

You need to manage your TG's and all i can say is that we have multiple options for it which focus on hypertriglyceridemia alone. I would suggest you continue statins and start using omega 3 fatty acid supplements on daily basis and reviews fasting lipid profile after 3 months and then 6 months. And cut down on junk and deep fried stuff.

Oh yes. About the irregular heartbeat issues. May it be psychological or pathological you need to evaluate it. Esp keeping in view your deranges lipid profile.
I would suggest to go for ECG and ECHO to be on the safe side. These base line need to be in hand to rule out major causes and reduce morbidity and hence mortality.

Squatting on the toilet and Jet pilots .. that is a comparison that I wish I'd never seen :D:D:D kidding

It is normal but it shouldn't be for long and it should not be so intensive that you actually loose balance ...

what is your RBC ( red blood cells ) count ??

My normal heart beat is around 55 bpm to max of 60 ...
Although when I run it crosses 120-130 also but under normal conditions it is around 55
Doc told me that people who do intensive cardio activities like running ..sports etc their heart rate deceases and it is absolutely normal

But why this happens amd what is this condition called ??

Most probable reason for feet edema is uncontrolled hypertension, congestive cardiac failure or tenal issues.
Why dont you get her bp checked from some authentic source and get her few blood tests done like cbc, esr, rfts, spot microalbuminuria urine and urine c/e.
This way we can better tell u whether she needs to go to cardiologist or nephrologist or simply internist.

im not from Lahore so cannot tell u info about any good doc there....but keep her feet elevated using pillow and restrict salt intake.
Meanwhile do the following tests before going to a doc...as told by invincible_doc...he is gonna advise u these tests anyways...n after the results....we here can guide u better to which specialty she should go...

I agree with most of what has been posted above...
Please do the following
In case you do not have results from within last 6-8 weeks (maximum) then please have the following tests done
1- CBC
2- RFTs(Urea, creatinine)
3- HBA1c
If you can give a 12 hours fasting sample then please also include "fasting Glucose" and "Fasting Lipid profile" as well
4- LFTs
5- Urine C/E
6- In case she is Hypertensive then also have a Chest Xray performed
7- If possible please also have an USG abdomen done.

ALL THE TESTS MUST BE DONE FROM AGHA KHAN LAB OR FROM SHAUKAT KHANUM LABORATORY. No other lab is reliable.

Decrease salt in the meals, Avoid meetha where possible regardless of Diabetes or not. Try sucral. increase fiber/fruits in your diet.

I can guide you or can suggest you a good doctor if i knew your location in Lahore. Trust me most of the doctors who are popular out there in the market are either too expensive, too greedy or have a fixed ratio set with pharmaceutical companies or Laboratories. There are a very few doctors who are honest. One of them is Prof Dr Arif Nadeem. He sits on jail road, Raza medical centre (Opposite McDonalds JAil road, beside KFC). I have a first hand experience that this gentleman is a pure medic. no allowances, no kickbacks, no greediness and he will give you time stretched over as much time as you would like. I am a medic, have worked under his supervision, have friends who are still his trainees and most of all my parents, my phupo, my friend's parents etc are his patients. enough said.
other options are Dr Aftab Mohsin (near weather radar, Jail Road).

Amongst Urologist/nephrologist ... i believe Dr Azaz mand (opposite services) and Dr Nawaz Chughtai (royal clinic b/w McDonalds and SKMCH Diagnostic centre on jail road) are better.

If you live near cantt then try Dr Humayoun Maqsood who sits at his residence opposite now closed kipling institute (on road that goes towards shami road from in b/w Zakir Tika and Sarwar road police station).

If you live near DHA then there is a Dr on Bedian road (Bhatta chowk to RA Bazar section). cant recall his full name but can find out if you are interested.

If you live near Wapda town then try Dr Adil Iqbal at Hajra Hospital. please confirm if he is still there.
