There are multiple selenoids involved. I am thinking on that lines too, may be selenoids are not getting adequate oil pressure, but can't say it for sure before I get the wiring to be as it should be ....

The one you got isn't a bad avg. at all. If driven at 100~120 continuously, expect better than 15-16...

Will look into it, I am trying to team up with my old buddy @imranbhatti this weekend, and if this goes through, we'll hopefully come up with an error-less wiring, InshaAllah.

TCU and ECU wiring was uncut, but there are accessory wires as well in both ECU and TCU (with accessory wires, I mean to say the ones going to dashboard i.e. meter and main fuse box) and I had to wire those up, the O/D light wire, the DLC3 grip ones, all were accessory wires, need to check them again thoroughly.

As experts already suggested u. Try to arrange a Meter from N 16 to have through look,as per disscussion with you VSS thing from GA 15 directly feeding to B13s Meter is something tricky in this project.

Cannot wire up N 16 meter, its original version I mean JDM which came with this engine is CAN based

VSS is a problem when ECU do not know what the speed of engine is through TCU. It is doing that. Scanner is showing engine speed when car is jacked up and wheel spin in air. The routing actually is through meter in N16 because of guage operation. The VSS from TCU and input into the ECU is linear and not sinusoidal. Hope you get it.

Nissan matic D is a friction modified ATF which is required for this unit, it has slightly more slip which causes the smooth engagement you want. This car gear change should be a bit smoother than a corolla. Nissan say that dx3 can work but forget about the refinement.

The ZIC ATF is not a direct replacement.

What are the 16 o/d flash lights on Ign ???

1) Turn ignition switch to acc position.
2) Move selector lever from "P" to "D"
3) Turn ignition switch to the on position (do not start car)
4) Depress and hold the O/D Button the "off" position (O/D light will come on)
5) Turn ignition switch to off position
6) Turn ignition switch to on position (do not start car)
7) Release the overdrive control switch(O/D light will be off)
8) Wait two seconds
9) Move selector lever to "2" position
10) Depress and release the overdrive control switch(O/D light will be on)
11) Depress and hold the overdrive control switch(O/D light will be off)
12) Move selector lever to the "1" position
13) Release O/D Button
14) Depress and release the overdrive control switch(O/D light will be on)
15) Depress and release the overdrive control switch again (O/D light will be off)
16) Depress and hold the overdrive control switch(O/D light will be on)
17) Depress accelerator pedal fully and release
18) Release the overdrive control switch(O/D light will begin to flash)

read the codes - better to make a movie - the codes are flashed from O/D lamp.

They are constant flashes, coming at Ign every time you insert key. First to second gear shift is more rough. 3 to 4th is also rough.... they are rough shifts on a whole.

if you count the seconds for its flash sequence it must be 8. That is an indication of "limp mode" - you need to extract the trans error codes.

the Launch x431 is in my reach only and I "think" that does not read transmission code for QG18. do you have any bright ideas for manually pulling the transmission codes ?
